Wasteland 2 just hit $900 000 with 33 more days to go. It means the project will definitely be funded. Now it's just a matter of how much money it will raise beyond.

Also, Brian has been tweeting about some gameplay details recently:<blockquote>You will most definitely get to create your entire party like Wasteland 1 or like Icewind Dale did (as an example).

You will be able to go with an existing group of Desert Rangers or make your own customized mix. And of course NPCs will join along the way.

The word "options" sums it up. That's what people want the most.

Feels so good having done my share for this project.

This is the first game that I did not by from the bargain bin since 10 years (or even more) and a big chunk of that saved money went into Wasteland 2 now.

That's justice.
 
Can't wait to play the game and see my name in the credits ;) Well done people! It feels like the good old days once again :D

Hopefully other such great games (cough *another Planescape game* cough) will use kickstarter to fund themselves. We've waited 10+ years to play these kind of games!

I'm so glad this project is working. It's still going strong, we're at $925,000 at this moment. The game can only get better with every dollar after 1mil.

I wish I could donate but my pathetic country doesn't have PayPal :\
Although I'm not a member of Codex I fondly remember a week spent in FOnline (character named Snake Vargas) with Lexx and other Codex members, chasing 4chan trolls around the wasteland :) Sorry I can't support you guys :(

What about a NMA statue? Some trustworthy NMA guy could collect the 5000 Bucks and could also paint some funny statue sketch, Brother None maybe?

Also, the WL2 project thing should be shown on linux gaming sites, would push it easily to 1,5mio imo. Linux gamers pay lots of money for games.

Not really comparable dev cycle anyway.. Fallout just had a crazy start where it was originally just an engine, and then they got the GURPS license and started to brainstorm ideas, they wanted to go for a Wasteland sequel, then changed to SPECIAL, etc. And of course, it also had staff like really expensive voice actors, talking heads and cinematics. Stuff Wasteland 2 won't have.
