Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
i was getting dressed and watching the morning news, when an news alert popped up and i watched in horror as i witnessed the first tower getting hit, a little wile longer and i watched live as a second plane hit the second tower, i saw people jump from windows flames every where then i watched as the towers collapsed my body was numb my face white with shock.......i was paralized with shock and i couldnent speak, but fear and shock soon turned to anger and a want to help

the USA was thrashed from sleep that morning and put into a hell hole. for the first time in a awile people came together and worked to survive and rebuild, we as a people came together it was truly inspireing to see that many people comming together for one cause.

it was my senior year in high school... i didnt have a first hour so i was sleeping when my mom woke me up. i watched for about 2 hours, right after the second plane hit to when the first building fell. then i had to go to school dammit. and they wouldnt show it on TV at school for some damn reason.

I was here at my desk or in the bar looking at the images and wrinting in the thread america in under attack (look it up in the archived board).
Later that night i was supposed to go to a tasting of old and rare whiskys, no need to mentionthat i did not go.

My birthday is on the 11/09. So i came home from school, and my dad told me that a plane had hit WTC. Silly me thought it had been a small doubedekker or some tiny whiney plane, so i turned on the tv and was a little bit suprised. The i went down to the citchen got myself some choclate cake and milk (love choclate cake and milk) and some choclate chip cookies and sat down and ate and watched as the buildings went down. Then i oppened some pacages and was happy for the rest of the day. I did condem it on the board but i would not let i ruin my day.

(the next day was misserable as the chocklate cake and milk had mutated into something saddam would have payed a lot to get)

I was online and I belive it was Briosa that told me about it, no wait I was in the #fallout chan and they said : "another plane has crashed..."

I walked into my second hour my senior year of high school and it was on the television. I saw the second plane crash live, and the cameras zoomed in to show people falling/jumping out the windows. It was on TV for pretty much the rest of the day at school.

Just get back from school (it happened about 4 pm over here), just in time to see the secon plane crashed. My brother was already watching it.

I was in Business Class when it happened, and our teacher told us what happened. It happened at over 2pm here GMT.

I was on a computer, wondering why the hell did someone turn up the radio so loud outside. After an hour or so I bothered to listen to what the radio was saying - that was when the second plane crashed the tower. I spent another two hours sitting before TV waiting for planes to keep on dropping like rain, but that was it.

I came back from school and watched some TV, I stumbled upon CNN and stayed there for a long time.

I was in the middle of a Physics 1 class in the university when some guys, who had left earlier to slack off, came back making some unusually childish and unfunny jokes involving threating to crash planes into each other houses. The professor, more surprised than pissed off, asked them what the fuck were they talking about. We all left the classroom to watch it on some TVs that were snatched from the Dean's Chambers (why is it that the Dean has a TV and the rest of the university doesn't?). I was pretty shocked and returned to the classroom to a VERY SURREAL Calculus 2 class (surreal in the way that the professor (a woman so damn fugly you wouldn't put in a jerk off fantasy for fear of mental scarring) didn't even mention the attack). When I returned home at 10:00 AM, I found my mother crying while watching the news. That night, after a pretty tense dinner with my family, I posted some ridiculous messages in the former forums with other nickname. Something about showing my fist against evil or some other angry, childish bullshit like that.

i was at Ta-Kwon-Do (the martial art) practise when i herd it.

by the way, i know someone that was on vacation in new York and was at the top of the towers the day before

I was at work - I happened to load the cnn.com page at just the right time. They had a still shot of the first impact damage with the second plane just before it hit the second tower.

Very eerie. I have a friend who worked at the Pentagon but wasn't in the section that was struck.

thanks people, anyway it pissed me off that the teachers at school refused to talk about it they just sat and gave us work....they also did nothin to trie and stop the joking(thats right kids at my school thought it was very funny) i must have gottin into a hundred fights that day, i was trying to get people to understand how serious the situation was and that our presidents reaction could reashape the world but they refused to listen........o well they are just asses

thanks for posts

I remember I was in Global class...we just watched the TV for that class.

Also, I remember I had a math test that day (on radicals, I ended up getting a 68), where my math teacher was listening to (ugh) Howard Stern on the radio. He said, "Trust me, you'll probably remember this day for your rest of your lives".

Well, since I remember the math test so specifically, I guess he was right.

I estimate that I was outside smoking my first cigarette of the day killing some time before I had to drive to campus for classes when the first plane hit. I didn't hear anything about what had happened because I was home by myself. I went to math class about an hour later. The classroom was also a computer lab so there were computers at every desk and we could use them during lectures. I glanced at my neigboor's screen and saw a picture of an airplane going into the building. I thought it was a prank picture and just ignored it. The math prof never mentioned anything about it either. My next class was English, and everybody was talking about it as soon as I walked in the doors. The prof offered to allow us to take that chance and debate how we felt about the situation. That's when i truely found out.

On 9/11, i was at college. I remember coming home and seeing the first parts of the attack on the news, I stood and watched with most of my family in a complete state of awwww.

It was just like, America? Terroiste attack? but how can this be...America never gets attacked..

I was sick and at home. I woke up about five minutes before the first plane hit so I could take some medicine and watch Good Morning America. I remember going to the fridge to get a coke, then walking back into my room and laying down. A moment later, ABC switched to it's coverage, and then it was on every channel. I remember seeing people waving sheets from the windows of the Trade Tower, and I remember watching people jump. Then the second plane hit...and the rest, as they say, is history. I don't have to tell you guys how shocked and sad that day was, because you all lived it.

Well. That's my story.

I was on IRC talking to other members of this Star Wars club I am in, when I heard on the TV about a plane hitting one of the WTC towers. At first I thought it was a small Cezna (or whatever it is spelled) plane and didn't pay much attention, then I heard about another plane hitting the other tower, and then live footage was presented and I saw that they were not such small planes after all. Needless to say I was stunned and kept watching TV all day and chatting on IRC with friends I have in the US.

I was also later amazed by the CNN propaganda (Palestinians celebrating). It was later admitted that this footage was shot more than 10 years ago, and I do not remember if they were actually palestinians or Iraqis celebrating about Sadam in the pre-gulf war era or something like that). Human (or CNN) nature never changes, I guess
