Where is the Fallout Tactics Editor?

Fallout Tactics Item/Weapon Editor?

Sorry if I seem lazy, or unattentive, but I havn't been able to find anything on a Fallout Tactics Item or Weapon editor?

If there is one in existence, could someone point me in it's direction?

FT Tools comes with the 1.27 patch you can edit just about everything in the game with it.

BoSEE, from NMA downloads section, can edit the entities and create new ammo types etc.

Plus there are several save game editors in the downloads section if that's what you are after.
 
Ah, cool. I have the FT Editor from the 1.27 patch installed now, but the only weapon entity I can modify is the Missile Launcher! O.o

Is this a bug, or is there a more complete list of Sprites and .Ent Files I'm missing?
 
You need to unpack the '.BOS' files, open up winzip drag the entities file and drop it into the open winzip window, then extract everything to the core directory (the editor readme has fuller instructions).

You will need to reapply the 1.27 patch after extracting the files as the patched versions will be overwritten when you extract the files.

If you plan on editing more than the weapons you'll need to do the same with the other .BOS files.
 
FOT critter stats/entity files

I need to look into these files to see what the stats are for critters. Do I need an editor for these or just any text editor. I have had a look in the files at NMA section and Team-X for a *.ENT editor, but no joy so far. I will try a text editor tonight when I get home.

Unless of course someone has the stats for the critters in FOT
 
There is an entity editor available with the 1.27 patch. What kind of stats were you looking for?
 
hit points, armour class resistances... That sort of thing. I will check out the patch thanks :)

OK I have tried that out it it works fine though I would prefer a custom app that doesnt have to be run in full screen so I can copy and paste the values straight out.

But more importantly when it says how many hit points a critter has is that the correct value or is that the number of hit dice it has (so 10 would actually be 10 x 1d4) if so what is the value of the hit-dice (kind of like d&d)

For example the Komodo dragon has 10 hits points and this sounds a bit to low.

I dont really have any expereince with the FOT engine etc...

Hello this is the first forum that I registered in and I dont know where to ask this so I will do it here : where can I download the Fallout Tactics Map Editor from?When I tried to do it gave me an error :(
 
And how can I open these files.Which program must I use because when I opened them its like a screenshot of the site?!
 
I've gotten into playing multiplayer skirmishes and the like, but the limited choice of maps has inspired me to want to create some of my own multiplayer maps. I keep reading in various places about a Fallout Tactics editor but where the heck do I find it? help, please? :)
 
For the record, at the time that I posted that I hadn't yet checked out the selection of player-made maps. I'm sure when I have a chance to, I will find many excellent designs, and some that will probably become favorites. At the same time, though, I'm a creative sort (or... at least, I like to think I am ;) ) and will want to do some of my own maps, as well.

The editor comes with the game, it should just automatically install along with everything else and put a shortcut in the Start Menu->Program Files->Fallout Tactics folder.

where could i download the mapper for Tactics. kinda a noobish question but i kinda want to use it. thanx in advance.

it's installed with the 1.27 patch, and for the Germans the 1.26 German Patch ( IIRC).


If you've already patched check your default Tactics folder. It's called FT Tools.

Any inventory editor for Fallout Tactics?

Just beaten Fallout Tactics v1.27. I was disappointed that some of the kicka$$ weapons came a bit too late when the moment I really needed them :( . The 2mm ammos for the gauss guns were pretty rare :cry: . The quartermaster charged his merchandises outrageously high :x plus he never restock once you purchase all the availabled items(not all but all the certain ones) from his shelves.

Say, does anyone know where I could download an editor that would enable me to create more sophisticated weapons, armors, plus ammos in my squad's inventories. If the editor doesn't exist, how about saved games where you could find all items you ever want in lockers in Brotherhood bases just like the Arroyo Hack saved game for Fallout 2? In Arroyo Hack, you could find all the game related stuff in the pottery vasees. You could find this saved game in Radiated Society.

I want to replay Fallout Tactics to try different tactics on a harder setting but this time me and my teammates would be better equipped at the start of the game. By the way, I'm a pyromaniac :twisted: :shock: . I just love to use flamethrower on my enemies to watch them fry into crispy critters. Never get me tire of using this weapon. Of course not in the real world, just in the game :wink: . If anyone have the update or info, please let me know.
