Which mods/patches for Fallout 1&2?

I think it comes with Hi-Res, and that's it. You'll want to install killap's patch on top.

Come on man, Fixt topic is sticky right here. It's not a "patch", however. More like RP for F2.

So, OK - there's that for Fallout 2 - but what about the first Fallout? Are there any restoration content mods for it?

Yes, the mod or mods restores mutant invasion and caravans, the last part that would be restore teh content of each location wasnt done sadly.

Hi,

I'm thinking about replaying Fallout 1 and/or 2, so far, it's seems the fixit mod makes FO1 easier to mod so i guess i'll pick this one.

Apparently, Fixit has all the mods i wanted to add.

I've read somewhere; not sure if it's for FO1 or 2; you can take control of your followers just by editing an ini file, would that work with FO1 + fixit ?

I still own FO1 and FO2 boxed versions and was a Fallout veteran back in the days.
Would anyone point me any interesting and compatible mod i could add on top of that ? Something adding interesting quests or changing everything making it a different experience.

Found the answer while checking the config files to control the followers.

Still, i'm open to suggestions to add some mods on top of fixit, if that's possible, the game is amazing with that option, only remaining problem is the inventory is a mess.

Thanks for the answer :-)

What about Fallout 2 when/if i'm replaying it as well afterwards ?

Anything interesting and compatible with the latest Megamod ?

Such big mods are almost always not compatible with any other mod. You'll have to decide on one and stick with it for that playthrough.

Hey Guys! So I'm thinking about a Let's Play series of FO2 and maybe a guide video on something like "The ultimate Fallout 2 setup in 2019". So I would really like some advice, what are the must have's besides the restoration pack?

I really really like the idea of crafting and the EcCo mod sounds completely amazing to me, but so does the MegaMod. Its also hard to figure out wich mods compilations includes what mods, wich ones that conflicts etc.

Thank you so much.

If you like new quests and new adventures, i made a list there.
There is still a lot room for improvements, so every criticism is welcomed.

I was wondering if anybody knows where I could download some vehicle mods for fallout 2. The only file I was able to download was on some website I found by pure chance, can't remember exactly where I downloaded it from but I have it on google drive and would be willing to share it with anybody that's interested. It's the rusted/black paint job mod for the highwayman. But I am looking for other vehicle mods (specifically their .rar's or zip's), such as the vertibird mod, or the mad max interceptor replacer found here: http://archive.nma-fallout.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=50. They have broken download links, or were taken down.

Check Drobovik's database.

I believe I read about, but now cannot find, a keyring mod for Fallout 2. Does any such thing exist, and if so, where can I download it? I looked through the working links in the OP, as well as Drobovik's dump of files hosted on mediafire, and cannot find it.

There is a keyring item in Fo1, but it never had any use (you could buy it in Junktown, tho). The item wasn't used in Fo2 at all. As far as I am aware, nobody ever made a mod for it. Personally I wouldn't really know how to merge keys into one either without adding new scripts to every locked door that has a key.
