Say, I walked into the tanker in New SF again and suddenly these two red shit guards shoot Badger on his way out to get candy from Lao Chou...WTF????

Also, Dragon and Lo Pan in Chinatown both hate me now because they think I'm a Hubologist...anyway to rectify this short of wiping out the Hubbies?

And what, if anything, happens (or doesn't -- except for side quests) when I wipe out all Hubs, all Mafia, and all Navarro? Just a lot of XP, or do many "game paths" close off??

Killing off Reno mobs has a great impact on the ending for that place (potentially also the Den), Navarro and Hubologist Base serve only as XP farms.

Not really, unless you have a lot of unfinished quests relating to those places.

BTW, I didn't have Badger hack for me; I had "Dave Handee" the lovelorn Hub tech by the shuttle divert Shi fuel.

Ah, this is a really good game...this and Ultima III-VII are the only RPGs I get into 100%, such that I take my time playing them and not just rushing through....

The issue you mention is a bug in the game, BUT.....

From the corrections list of my patch:

"• If Dave Handy hacks the Shi computer for the fuel it would trigger Badger's death sequence as if he was the one who did the hacking. This is no longer the case."
