great ...a few more things to get excited for.(especially after playing ap!) also folks,if u hate the fatman don't used it!

Yes, because ignoring a weapon deemed necessary to kill a specific mutant is going to A) help and B) redeem the integrity of the Fallout universe.

Thanks.

Alpha Protocol is a good game.

The Fat-man is a hole in what the Fallout series is about, people used to be afraid of nuclear weaponry, because that's what fucked up the wasteland so bad in the first place, now people lug around a portable nuke launcher, you can see why people are annoyed.

Hey, if you head over to www.ign.com they have the first gameplay footage of F:NV up, right on their home page.
For easier findings: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14341976/fallout-new-vegas/videos/falloutnv_vdp_060310_v3.html

I hope to see some futuristic weapon in NV... at least modern ones.
I mean, if they put a glock or an USP is better than a lever rifle and some single action revolvers... this game is supposed to be in the future.
I remember some plastic/composite bad ass bullpup-fullauto-shotgun like the city killer, some HK-glock-colt futuristic version of our weaponry. It's since f3 that all the weapons turned wood and steel...

Thanks for the video link. Hopefully that dialogue with the super mutant is a frequent occurrence throughout the game. The narrator was kind of annoying, I would have much rather been able to hear the actual game, but I guess we'll have to wait until E3.

I think Bimmy (Double Dragon 3 typo ftw!) is right, I don't think that a handheld Davey Crocket would really have been that out there. In some ways, there's a clash with the seriousness with which the Fallout universe takes nukes but in other ways, it does fit with the whole "war never changes" theme. Fallout 3 didn't treat it right and Beth were/are not going to be the ones to do it. Ideally, the explosion would be much bigger so as to not make it a super rocket launcher like it was.

nightkin stealth ambush xD

locations seems good but the only thing we can see is the f3 engine

... its 'how many different ways cans I see a guy get violently killed in slow-mo?'.

*sigh*, well, it sells. If it's going to be in there anyway, might as well have some variety. I mean, if you're going to do gratuitous bloody violence, do it well. :/

I hope the devs will at least put an option to change the speed of the vats animations something like:
1:1
1/2
F3 boredom etc.

This made my day!

Fat Man sucked in Fallout 3, because it was inappropriately placed into the game. It wasn't suited as a weapon to use in every combat, and yet it weighed too much to carry all the time, to me at least. It would simply ruin all the challenge from difficult combat situations. No hard boss fights, no anything. Taking on Super Mutant Behemoths - not challenging at all.

I hope in F:NV they fix Fatman. But... I don't see how would they do it. Man, this is such a mess!

Grenade machinegun: minimum Strength 3.

Holy mackerel! How harsh!

Man, I hope these are the requirements for the Normal mode...

the "Little Boy" kit for the Fat Man, which drastically reduces its weight.

Absolutely perfect.

I didn't really use the fat man in F3, it just didn't seem like all that fun. I'd be for an all around rep drop as the penalty for using one (assuming there was someone nearby to see it or you even carrying one) given the damage nukes have done to the world.

I just do it like with the economic desaster that struck us not long ago. I pretend it doesnt exist. Works pretty fine :D

In order to make the Fat Man serious, they'd have to ditch the whole stupid "nuclear catapult" concept and make it a weapon similiar in looks to an AT-4, with a massive explosion (like the SatCom nuclear strike, a weapon available in the game via console).

I imagine that a nuclear rocket launcher would find uses among troops, particularly as a bunker buster in China and Alaska, but the entire premise of a *catapult* is just, well, silly.
