Yet one more reason to hate the VGAs

I like that he constantly speaks of "we", as in he and "the players" are some kind of don quichote fighting against the bad video game industry windmills. If this guy is "our" speaking tube, then no wonder the "industry" is going down. :D

Hmmm....

Roshambo is a name that sounds a bit familiar... Would someone please care to elaborate?
Just find a post by him (you can find some in the FO: PoS forums) and check his profile to see his posts. You'll be entertained.

Back on topic, I agree with BN, fail all around.

This guy kinds of covers the topic mentioned above. Not all of his points are credible, though.

On a side note, I like Joe. I'd like to have a little chat with him. He seems like a fun guy if he isn't into this Champion role, i.e. when around with Other Joe. Plus we could talk about the 10/10 for Skyrim. :)

i have watched 2 of these spike VGAs, i think the first was in like 2003 or 2004, and the 2nd was in like 2006 or 2007.

i dont watch them anymore because i dont play console games. i dont own a console, i dont play console games, so the VGAs are not for me.

one thing i found wierd today was when i was watching a re-run of G4TVs attack of the show, they said that saints row the series was the most controversial game ever, and thats simply not the case.

ultima 4 was banned by many churches ( including the catholic church ) for that room in the dungeon. then fallout 1 got the same treatment but on a smaller scale. it was a really big deal that almost cost garriot his publisher and distributor in Sierra. and is one of the reasons they moved to EA.

None of these shows are actually informative, to be honest. It seems that only the most popular games get nominated, ever - which you are quite likely to have played through by this time. Indie games don't really get enough attention.
