It's been pretty quiet around the FIFE-based Fallout project Zero-Projekt, but today chewie dropped by for an update:<blockquote>There have been no signs of activities on our homepage since we moved to our new server on zero-projekt.net. We want to change this and proove that we´re still working on Zero Projekt. So here are the news with some new media and information about changes in the team.

Unfortunately, our artist Xerxes left the project to concentrate on a commercial project. Shadowrunner, our project leader went inactive for a while, too. Nevertheless we´re making good progress.

Besides the work on our story and gameplay (which we can´t visualize with FIFE yet) we are creating our first tilesets, exporting our 3D modells to isometric view and designing the first maps. We compiled some screenshots which show some of our progress.

Our musician Fluxx created again one nice track, you can grab it here:

Hey thanks for the news Kharn :)

@all

Thanks for your feedback! We really appreciate that . :)

@Mad Max RW

Could you please name an example? Perhaps we can improve it ...

Ok, the props and things all work well together. Walls, rusty car, rusty street light, etc.. The ground textures are nice and photorealistic, but they don't seem natural. Perhaps darkening them will fix it. Right now it looks like all the props and things are floating around.
Did the characters just walk off the set of a Gap commercial?

Heh.. the character is just our height dummy to adjust the size of the objects. At least we will remove the white trouser if we don´t replace him.

Your´re right, the tiles need still some work - I also wasted too many of them on large areas - we will fix that when more tilesets allow more diversity. Darkening is on the way - at least the asphalt will be completely changed.

About the floating objects - I guess we can fix that by alphablending the objects on the bottom - or we use an additional tile layer. Fortunately, FIFE let us include as many as we need :)
