  • Speaking of Putin, what's with him cracking jokes all the time? It's like his whole life he had a secret calling, and it's seeping out

I thought Russian as a language didn't have the concept of jokes in it.

Russian jokes pretty much just describe a dire situation of misfortune, and then they laugh at it.
I'll just say it: Putin isn't really rocking his new and emerging "old man"-look.

It's just the face though, the facial features. Dude's probably fit to be a tyrant for the next 30 years, but like - someone like Stalin - visually - aged much more confidently!

The only European "Drinking game": Take another shot, dude! Nobody's stopping you, why are you looking for an excuse!?

In my experience the objective of the drinking games is to get the people who don't drink much fucked up rather than the tankers. Also, some games can be extremely fucking brutal
There you go, I fucking knew it. I'm trying to convince some simpleton that "pronouns" are actually a grammatical term, like "you" and "me"

Personally as I grow older I find myself decidedly anti-noun.

Then why did you write "I" in that sentence?

To participate in a discussion 'I' am forced to grapple with this language, wrestling with great serpents to give meaning to my thoughts, Like ink drops being wrung out of my brain and digitized into these letters you see before you. Much like Epic Mickey the game developed by junction point studios in 2010.

So, okay, crying while fucking. Who's guilty of it, and why, and how many seconds more did your relationship last, after that sad display?

Also, do not let my abrasive attitude deter you from admitting how you cried during sex, lol. Come forth! Share your pain and what *must* be absolutely harrowing memories of utter death-cringe!

More and more I'm trying to look at what people want for humanity, rather than their political-wing-belonging. This is complex, for sure

while a lot of my "political opponents" might point a finger, and go "your side will cause a lot of suffering", my inclination is to stop and go "HOLD ON! YOU OPPOSE SUFFERING! I ALSO OPPOSE SUFFERING! :O"

It's pretty basic and simple, I guess - but the alternative is that we all kill each others, while not even understanding why, beyond just dehumanization-rethorics gone to a conclusion.

I kinda get what you mean, but I also think it's possible to have a completely opposed view of humanity to someone. I do however, think a lot of people kinda have worldviews that they don't even realise they have, because they're based on certain assumptions we have about society that seem invisible because they're so normalised.

For instance a lot of Conservative rhetoric talks about "The Family", and you could easily draw this in to discussions of inheritance, and presumptions of families being economic units (They'll often contrast family with welfare), and so it's kinda like, a lot of ideology makes a lot more sense if you realise they're referencing factors about how society tends to be run.

Puerto Rican Spanish will always amuse me - "Puelto Rico" "Te voy a matal!" or from Calle 13 lyrics "Sin pasapolte, sin transpolte" :'V

I've said before - the people in the world who most need to die, and die today, and die horribly, and die along with everyone they love - are not genociders, torturers or other evildoers, but people who believe writing "turn on and off again" is the same as writing a paper about technology.

I always liked the implications in these stories, where it's like "yeah, my ancestors lived near some natives, so I have native heritage in me! They had some polish neighbors, so I'm 1/12th polish naturally, and the mailman was italian - so obviously I'm part - "

1985 Jensen published a Sauropod dinosaur he named Supersaurus. To this day the genus remains valid, and I hate him for it.

As a nifty trick, a very large Argentinean carnosaur was named Giganotosaurus <--notice the extra o "giganoto", so to get away with almost calling it Gigantosaurus, despite that name being preoccupied.

There is also a very fragmentary German Sauropod named Dinosaurus, but it is considered a nomen dubium at best, as well as a pretty definite nomen oblitum.

He begins to cry. He remembers a moment of happiness with games like the Witcher, but thinks it must be a false memory. He looks up and sees a picture of Cyberpunk on the telescreen, making him feel happy and safe. As he listens to the war news, he reassures himself of both the great victory he has won over himself and his newfound love for Cyberpunk.
