counter strike Best fps ever (on shooting)
unreal tourny (fastest fps EVER...some times u gotta be fast)
bf2 (most strategic fps ever someimtes its nice to get outa cs...and in a jet)
civ 1/2 (sometimes its nice to nuke the planet...or be peaceful woteva...lol)
diablo 1 (only if u play legit)
diablo 2 (only fun if u hacked it to hell)
 
My list is pretty generic but here it goes in no order


1. Planescape Torment

2. Thief 2

3. Fallout

4. Fallout 2

5. Final Fantasy Tactics

6. Syndicate

7. System Shock 2

8. Silent hill series( I actually enjoyed 4)

9. Descent series(beat every single one excluding freespace 1 and 2)

10. Freelance(Simple space sim but I had a blast with it, got all the best ships and items and did very side quest avialable, after that me and a friend flew towards the sun to end our long galactic mission.)
 
Any gamer could probably name ten genres where they'd basically get no enjoyment out of any random game. I could probably have more fun with a really sucky RPG than with a marvellous baseball simulator. OK, maybe not, but you get the point.

No, thats no mistake, Fallout 2 is low on the list. I did not like it that much, it felt rushed and unfinished(but, then again, I am comparing it to Fallout 1. If FO1 wasnt so well made, then FO2 would be higher.)(Oh, before I get stabbed, BG2 is higher than FO2 only because its newer to me, Ive been playing Fallout for nearly seven years now, but BG2 for less than a year)

1- fallout2 - !

2- planescape:torment - i spent HOURS marveling at this piece of art. was my first rpg evar, and i replay it every 2 years or so.

3- quake - sp was great, mp was my first step in online gaming. damn that was expensive =(

4- fallout1 - !

5- diablo2 - came out when i was a student. when we didnt party, we played d2... in turns XD (i lived in a community with some other students, and i was the only one with a computer)

6- opflash - awestruck i was. and still am. played nearly every good fan made mod on it, too. a great, great game. sadly i need to buy a CRAY computer for fp2.

7- deus ex - replay it till today.

8- halflife1/2 - hl1 was the first REALLY entertaining fps. #2 continues the tradition. played hl1 deathmatch some time, downloaded mods for it etc. THEY HUNGERRRRR! great games both.

9- sshock2 - best sound design ever. a nearly perfect game at that time, still very good today. minus the cheesy weapon designs.

10- i dont know. mahjongg for windows?

8. Heroes Of Might And Magic 3 (The name might be stupid, but it's a great game)

There are so many others that were really good too...but not quite the top. Damn, no spots left for Arena/Daggerfall/Oblivion, Half Life, X-Com, UT, GTA(for the PC)...and many other games.
 
1- Call of Duty 4 (cool, and i REALY like SAS)
2- Splinter Cell (Chaos Theory and Double Agent)
3- Fallout 1 and 2 (aways, or i would not be here)
4- GRAW 1 and 2 (realistic FPS, if thats possible...)
5- Company of Heroes (best strategy engine... Should be modern war, however)
6- C&C Red Alert 2 (it is REALY better than all new ones. Its too anti-comunist however: I'm comunist and i will kill you kids and eat their liver!!!)
7- Hidden and Dangerous 2 (SAS again....)
8- Test Drive Unlimited (Best car game played)
9- GTA San Andreas (with mods, for god sake)
10- can't remember.... Well.... Uh....

6. Neverwinter Nights (Just a game you have to play from time-to-time) PC

8. Half Life (Some think nr 2 is better, but I like nr 1.)
