Awaken Mod Help Thread (possible spoilers)

I’ve played through awaken a few times in the past and have had two nagging problems with this game.

1. How does one procure iguana slayer? I know it’s based on rank/ reputation in some way, but what do you actually have to do to get him? I’ve tried every combination I can think of and he just sits there taunting me. The only way he reacts for me is if I kill the Junker traitor Sarah (then he turns aggressive.)

(EDIT:) OK, this makes me feel so dumb, it has nothing to do with your reputation and everything to do with what you're wearing.

2. Is there a way to get a positive outcome? Can you save your vault? Despite going through the game at breakneck speed I still wasn’t able to find the kidnapped members of vault 32 (besides the four corpses in the ghoul’s hideout.)

Forgive me for replying to this old thread, but I was playing this old Mod and wanted to comment on the Letters Quest for any other retro gamers as I wasn't able to find this answer in the previous posts.

(Spoiler!)

In rust town (the one where the dog joins you) towards the NW side of the map (using the N direction from the pip map screen not the top of the computer screen) on the top of one of the boxes you find a letter telling you there is a hidden treasure with the next hint in the town of merchants near their militia building.

Coming across Barter town next, I followed these directions to find the second letter along the S edge of the map. It says 25 steps north of the big ugly tree you'll find the key to a locked locker in New Chicago. There is definitely a big ugly tree next to the church, but I searched in vain for the key. The reference about the spot of dark in the light I believe is just a saying and not a hint, like saying I bet you didn't think I'd hide my money in a bank!

Not really sure why this is, but the key can be found in Rampart 25 steps straight up towards the top of the computer screen from a similar looking tree (NE on the PIP map screen, N from the back wall of Dick & Son) near a rock that's about the size of your character next to the canyon wall. It's called 'House Key' and you may have to move your mouse courser back and forth over the area to get the icon to pick it up. Maybe Dev1 said put the key in town of merchants (meaning Barter Town) and Dev2 thought okay Rampart (various merchant quests). Or maybe I missed something here? In any event the key opens only one of the locked lockers in the bank in New Chicago and is not related to robbing the bank.

Wasted so much time on this, thought I'd save someone else the frustration.

Need help with quest

Anybody has a clue about quest in Rampart town where I should collect 2 holodisks, 1 fuse battery and 1 SCIENCE KIT? Where can I get that science kit? (its called like that if I remember well)

solved. I ve mistaken locations. All these parts can be found at Vault of Undead.

but I've got another question. Is tehre a way how to get to the second floor of Undead Vault?

Perhaps you could post the solution with spoiler tags in case someone else has trouble finding it in the future.

As to the vault, it's been years since I played the mod but iirc there is only one floor.

I have a few questions about fallout awaken.
1. In BRC you find a holodisk created by a man named Fergusson, in Rampart you find this man, does he have any quests for you?
2. In Barter town there is a man named Argus he's head of a church, can you get quests from him?
3. In New chicago in the basement of the casino you get a quest to repair an old still, but i can't find it.

I was thinking about this: it has been a long time (2 years) after i finished Awaken mod, and i'm happy to see that there're so many people interested in playing it but i'm also sad that i couldn't find any walkthroughs.

is there someone who is writing it or there's already a walkthrough in internet? Because i'm planning to start Awaken again in a few weeks, i would be glad to help in creating such a document.

Several people started a walkthrough but none have ever been uploaded. If someone had time there is a lot of information on this thread and forum that could be compiled together.

On another note did Darkfall ever get released?

Help, please! I can't enter the BOS bunker exterior map

After I finish the missing scribe quest and get back to BOS bunker Tobboc, the left outside guard, promotes me to cadet and I can enter the bunker. Inside, I can interact only with the scribe selling meds, while everyone else either doesn't respond at all, or shows me an empty barter screen.
AND, when I go outside, I automatically end on the world map. Upon coming back to BOS Bunker, regardless if I click to travel to exterior or to interior and either on foot or by the car, my party spends a split of second on the outside map and then a loading screen immediately appears and we get inside of the bunker. And upon exit - to the world map. What's the deal? Do I first need to find the Holy Grounds and talk to the Vault Overseer, or do I just forgo the BOS and go become a SOH? I'd like to work for the BOS, as always...
So...
An advice, anyone?

EDIT:
Nevermind, I got it. First find the Holy Grounds and the V32 Overseer and then head to the BOS - but don't bother going there if you already work for the SOH.

I just found out about this mod a few days ago. Way too late to the party. Anyway, ran into a possibly major bug: working for the BoS, up to the part where a Power Armor is given, the Elder says go to Paladin Bartholomew after. Problem is, the guy's been dead since the SoH attack. I've googled around for a solution to my problem, but no results so far. Looks like a showstopper. Should I just abandon the game?

You just won't be able to get the power armour. I'm pretty sure that guy's not involved in any other quests; you can still complete the game. Just, you know...without power armor.

Well... actually I have the armor, from the quartermaster. The instruction was go to Bartholomew after getting the armor.

EDIT: Ok so I googled for the next quest after the SoH/BoS attack and as expected they were the same. I went there and it triggered even if I had no quest for it. Sadly I can't find the motivation to finish the mod, everything after the return to vault 32 is combat after combat and with the imbalance this mod introduces (so there's this ghoul that kept 1-shotting me in Power Armor, I had to savescum just to kill him without getting half my squad killed, what was he holding? 10mm SMG lol) it just became a chore in the end. Sad, really. It was good while it lasted.

Yeah,well...i admit that it gets annoying with this kind of troubles.

I was thinking of doing a Let's Play in my free time for Awaken. Maybe this will give back to ppl some interest for this mod :)

I wouldn't be the first player who tried to create a Let's Play for Awaken anyway...this is the link to the forst part of a previous attempt by a user called Vaultofgaming :

You know...I've been thinking of doing a Let's Play of Awaken too, except I'd be doing mine "pacifist" style. The Awaken creators said it wasn't designed for a pacifist playthrough, but I think I can reduce it to only two kills.

If we do them at about the same time, I can refer viewers to your LP if they want to see all the quests I can't do in a pacifist playthrough!

{It's "people". You can write legibly. Don't bother crying about it.}

Uh...about this "people" thing...i don't understand exactly what happened but...ok.

Sure Snikers, why not? We can talk about this with a couple of pm as soon as you wish.

In the end me and Snikers decided to create 2 playthroughs, mine about the "violent" way to finish Fallout Awaken and he'll try the "pacific" way.

I just finished the mod (last version 1.41d in english + tranlsations for the endings) and i can say that there're multiple endings.

I'm pretty sure that i missed a lot of things because not all the endings were so nice (my alignment in this "let's play" is "Good"), and i'm curious to compare my endings with yours as soon as i finish my walkthrough.

Is there an easy way to alter some of the game rules, items stats? Or maybe there is an simple cheat editor?

Well, from my expirience energy weapons are far more superior to big guns in every way, so I want to edit ammo consumption, damage and AP costs of the weapons.

I have no experience with the Awaken mod, but it seems all you need to do is use the "FT Tools" program that comes with most versions of the original game. Either that or download the "BoSEE" editor.

These will let you change the parameters of objects within the game and are quite easy to use. I do not know of any cheats that would let you do what you are wanting to do.
