FUSE!

I can't seem to repair the machine in Rust Town.
I've tried using the fuse on the machine
I've tried repairing the machine
I've tried giving the fuse to the bartender that gave me the quest
I've tried killing the bartender that gave me the quest
I've tried killing everyone in Rust Town

None of those have worked

Anyone know how to finish the repair the machine in Rust Town quest?

You or one of your team NPC need to have repair skill more than 35.

Of course, in your inventory should be battery founded in junk at right side of reastaurant.
Stay near autoamt machine, wait few seconds, then go talk to barman.
Quest done :)

It's True!

OMG it worked!
I was so sure that killing everyone in the town would do the trick.
Killing everyone in Oasis led to the successful completion of some sort of merchant quest, so I figured it would do something in Rust Town.

But standing STILL with sufficient repair skill, I would have never thought of that!

Medallion?

Where is that medallion I have to get for Frank in Barter Town? I've tried searching the Brahmin in the area, but no luck.

Try to steal from the cow in Barter Town. Save before stealing ;) The cows are over the bar at north-east side.

Now I'm in New Chicago

Thanks for the tip on the extra Brahmin.

Now I have a problem in New Chicago. I can't seem to find and blow up the distillery. There's only the one under the casino, right? Everywhere I place the explosives, nowhere does it blow up anything other than the people.

As fun as it is to blow up the people, I'd like to know what exactly I need to blow up.

I'm not sure but you take the quest from man named Gator?
The distillery is in location near New Chicago. Exit from New Chicago, and you will find the location. Go there, then I'm sure you will find right distillery. Note, you need to use Sneak skill for all Team mates, and nobody can see you, and no one enemy can die. After blow distillery you need to sneak to exit grids, then quest will be done.

I feel stupid for not leaving the town to search for the Rot Gut Factory.

Now, I can't figure out how to solve the caravan problem. The mission from Gator said that the Chans were behind it.

I went to the distillery where the Chans were and killed them all, but no response. I suspect that the guy behind on the second floor of the casino has something to do with it, but he's behind a door that's impervious to lockpick, and I haven't a clue where to get the key.

There really needs to be a walkthrough for this mod. I've seen threads from people who've said that they'd write one, but they were years old.

Wrong!
In Rot Gut Factory you can not kill any bandit! They can not see you. You have to destroy distillery and go out. Then come back to Gaator for finishing the quest. No one guy from casino is interested in this qust.

Do not understand what mission you are talking about? And what caravan problem?

I'm sorry, his name is Goater, not Gator.
He's the guy in the eastern area in New Chicago in a building surrounded by NC guards.

He says that the Chans are behind it. Check page 3 of this thread. It seems that no one figured out how to finish the quest yet.

Anyway, after I blew the distillery, went back to NC, got my 2500 exp or so, then returned to the blown distillery and killed everyone, nothing happened. Did I not kill everyone there?

There's a town to the left of the Rot Gut Factory full of raiders (it uses one of the single player demo maps IIRC) kill everyone there and you should complete the cavaran quest.

I played Polish version of the mod. This should be some differences betwen english and polish version of Awaekn. i will check this and try to solve the problem with the Chans quest.

EDIT:
As requiem_for_a_starfur wrote, you need to wander on wasteland near the New Chicago and find covered location named Raiders Camp. Go there and kill everyone to do the quest. However, they do not attack you first, so talk to anyone first before making holocaust ;)

I went west all the way to the edge of the map, and all I found was the town of Rampart, along with the Vault of the Undead and the Dragon's Lair.
I didn't find any kind of Raiders area

I have a question to ask: The default fallout tactics encounter rate of 10 encounters per hex is still present in AWAKEN. Even if you tag the Outdoorsman skill, which is an utter waste of a tag skill, you will still be sucked into alot of encounters.

This is extreemely annoying and I'd like to ask if there's a way around it.

It took me 30 minutes of walking from from BRC to the military base, without engaging in any side trips or fighting.

That's not FOT's default encounter rate, that's a conflict between the game and your set up. Though Awaken does have a higher encounter rate than normal, probably due to to the new encounters being imported over the top of the default game. Try the latest patch it has a cut down map which should hopefully clear the old encounters.

Sorry if this problem was already dealt with and I just haven't seen it, but:
I installed Version 1.4 and the english patch into my FOT folder.
How can I start the game now? I haven't really found a readme and my google-search hasn't been very effective except one hit where there was something written that this mod creates its own shortcut.
I just can't find the shortcut :( how do I start up the mod?

Thanks.

The shortcut is either in the Fallout Tactics main folder or the Awaken folder. Or just create a shortcut to the bos.exe and add -path awaken at the end.

Dammit I should have posted my Messages here...lol You need to keep 1 rope in Inventory to get out after Downloading the Mainframe Data. Also if you get Crippled like I did use the Turn Base mode in Options or you won't get out and the Explosive will go off. It took me days to figure that one out. This is a Hardcore Game Mod. FOT Awaken.

Two questions.

Are there any Mutant Armors in Awaken or would using the Races mod and playing as a Super Mutant be a waste of time? Or should I just go with a Ghoul if I want to play as a different race?

Is there a...somewhat quick way to change the weight values back to what they're supposed to be? I find the way Awaken handles it to be way too ridiculous and annoying.

And, for all the time it's been available, I'm surprised and disappointed that no one has bothered to make a save game editor compatible with it. Not one person?
