Water Chip? Been There, Done That
I started regular work on my project. Before it was mostly exploring inspirations and experimenting. Now I've made a completely new story. This will be a simulation of a single person's life after a nuclear war. Will he/she survive in the radiactive wasteland? The radiation is small now but everything has been mutated. You've been hidden in a shelter for some years, it's time to walk outside and explore the world. But danger is lurking everywhere. You can meet other survivers that will tell you about nearby areas, where they live.

Features:

-increased realism, RPG details, life simulation
-many new areas to explore, start area is your "home"
-many new items to find, like wilderness food
also:
-experience gained only from locations (removed randoms)
-pip boy removed to increase realism and difficulty
-no starting quest other than survival, big quests opened up around level 4-5

Experience system: small locations with NPC that will help you about medium locations, where you gain exp and items, that will be useful in final big location (to enter there and do some things)


 
Easy way is put news to forum instead of homepage so i will inform here about actual progress

V1.1
-two parts of begining location, alternate Arryo
(some items was changed and one new added)
-rotgut (heal poison)
-nukacola (remove radiation)
-rare issue of G&B (+5% critical chance)
-dogmeat join when you remove armour
(because seen v13 suit [that you dont have now]
script from Cafe of Broken Dreams location)
-corn can be found outside near shelter (its food +5HP)
-all Arryo names was changed
-new mainmenu concept and storyline:
(war end, walk outside home/shelter and explore world)
-glowing lamps (now real source of light)


Need some people to test this for new ideas, increase quality and remove bugs

-new location s14 (alternate Klammath, two levels, town label)
-many new containers
(like junk barrels, nuka cola fridge, plants, cactus, trashcan)
-many new foods
(everything that look like food can be eat +deathclaw egg, cabbage)
-new weapon and ammo
(Red Ryder for plant stings: ammo can be found on catus!)
-change start location equipment
-Dog Tags was changed (your name and born date on it)
-Rad Rat (glowing in darkness) and Mantis: less Exp, more HP

-character in standard (without armour) appearance can hold but not use
club, pistol, riffle, flamer, minigun, bazooka (AB/BB extension copy and change to EA/EB, HA/HB, JA/JB, KA/KB, LA/LB, MA/MB extension)
-and extra can hold and use (this made only for male, because female change chair appearence when use it)
knife, hammer, uzi (files NMWARR change to HMWARR)
-9 new random locations: farm houses (high detailed random areas)
-new table of randoms: farmers defeat triffids
-new random farmer items: coctail molotov, corn
-triffids can be destroyed only by fire and explode
-triffids are stronger (better spike) but more exp

but the map layout and screens you have posted look pretty damn nice tho :)
 
VDA Project

Its breaktrough concept for mods. I thinking many times about game story, olways got new visions of it. After some brainstorm i research new method making mods. Mod dont must be big save world quest and looking like real game, but be only minigame. Just one location to explore, mini adventure, no worldmap.

VDA mean Vault Dweller Adventures. All story will be olways the same for this small mods. Small adventures of VD that he got after leave V13 to time when settle in Arryo. All this mods will be parts of some kind serial. So compare to movie mods will be like serial instead of full game like full movie.

Already i made many locations, but its olways too small for new game and story from one dont fix to other. So i will cut them to small parts and relase serie of mods called Vault Dweller Adventures. In every part you will explore one location. Inside will be many hidden secrets, "eastern eggs" so there will be lot of fun.
And time play will be longer as you think, time spend to solve riddles and find all area secrets.
 
Now i made many experiments on scripting and research many new ideas on them. Tutorials about it already available only on PL Fallout forum: Shamo. Maybe i made web page about scripting. Scripts are essence of game but available knowledge about them is too small compare to other game elements.

The tutorials is about, for example:
-start game in v13suit and pip-boy without using f2loader creator
-newspaper automat (for new made items)
-mark on map from script new own areas added to game
 
After two months of stagnation, i updated project site.
Now is different, full of my scripts tutorials. Many usefull things to learn. I try translate this all to eng. (some day)
 
I made big scripting research and write almost 50 tutorials about it.

Lich, can the driver take you to the Guardian of Maltese Falcon if they're not discovered yet? Or the Sierra Army Depot (duh, big tourist attraction and travel hub!) if you haven't talked to Orville?
 
Yes, tou can travell to Sierra Army (and random encounters) but they will be not mark on worldmap.

Its easy way to visit some places when you got money.
