Jesus some of those models are just... ugh. Are those godawful models in the same mod that's giving everyone L96 sniper rifles? Why does everyone have sniper rifles meant for operating in an arctic fucking environment?
Well, I will admit some of them don't look as good as others, but with any pack that adds over 50 or so weapons, you will get some that aren't as good as the others. Notice that you are also seeing them in a low resolution pic too. They look much better in game. Book of Earache adds all of those guns, and is widely considered the best weapon mod pack for New Vegas. Sure Millennia offers a lot of better quality guns, but you have to download them all individually which cramps up your load order. Each gun has optical attachments like tactical lights or scopes, and many have selective fire, so you can go from burst, to semi, to full. This mod isn't available on Nexus, so I'm not sure what you are talking about. I don't believe there is a L96 in it. The only really ugly models I've seen are the Benelli which is up there. They are a bit too clean for Vegas, but this isn't a lore friendly playthrough. Which ones are you talking about specifically by chance?
Not only does Book of Earache add weapons, it also adds a cool bullet swarm effect in which all of your casings stay on screen after firing, so if you are using a minigun, you will have a shitload of brass laying around after firing. Neat stuff. Plus I haven't seen a M60 anywhere else. I may be wrong though. This mod did replace some of the old weapons, but I can always remove it when I go back to my old style of playing, lore friendly and all that.
Farmerk is right. The original models look twice as bad as any of those I have. I just compared them actually to see what the fuck you are talking about. Sorry buddy. Almost all of them are much better. The old ones are ugly as hell. Oh and I used blue because I always use it. I'll change it after these pics are all uploaded...may take two more iterations of this though.
You can clearly tell which one is from the old game below. Sure it looks beat up like it should, but does Duke Nukem use beat up, old ass guns? Fuck no. Wait until I break out the souped up Desert Eagle with engravings later on. Man it's perfect. Only thing wrong is there is no Devastator, although there is shrink ray, but you can't stomp the bad guys.

DUKE NUKEM: LOST IN NEW VEGAS
As Duke walks in he hears moans and shuffling of footsteps coming from the far side of the cavern. Then he catches a glimpse of what looks like a Zombie or Ghoul of some kind.
Duke runs up to get a closer look when one jumps out, attempting to hit him in the face. Duke was prepared for it though, he unloaded on the ghoul with his Assault Rifle. It slumps to the floor without a sound.
Then four more come into view. They are dangerously close this time, so Duke backtreads a bit, but he ends up in a corner with no way out.
The ghoulish creeps move ever closer as Duke fumbles with the magazine, smacks it into place, then attempts to pull the trigger. JAM! Duke quickly taps the forward assist, fiddles with the rifle some more, then finally unloads on the quickly advancing mob of Ghouls. After a few seconds, all of them appear to be dead, so he examines his immediate surroundings.
One cavern area to the left seems to be glowing with a green hue. He ventures in to see what he can find, if anything.
More Ghouls come out of hiding, shuffling his way, so he switches to one of his rifle's with a night sight, takes aim, and blows both of them away.
He does the same to the other two that came out after hearing the gunshots.
Duke moves closer inside after taking out the Ghouls, when he begins to feel very ill. A slight headache is coming on along with nausea. Must be from all these damn barrels, he thinks to himself. That's when he notices a radiation suit near an old ammo can. He runs over and puts it on before his symptoms get any worse.
Damn..this is gonna fuck up my hair.
Duke heads back the way he came and finds another passage leading to the Primm Sewers. He walks through the door right into a huge battle between a bunch of Ghouls and Powder Gangers. Many of the humans are being chased upstairs by the Ghouls. A few of them stay at the bottom tearing each other apart. Duke puts on a Stealth Boy and takes out a few himself.
After the dust settles Duke runs through the hole in the wall, leading up to another part of the sewers. It appears to be quiet with many dead bodies everywhere, both Ghoul and human. Duke is still suffering from radiation poisoning despite him wearing a rad suit. He only has one Rad-Away, but he takes it anyway to alleviate the effects. His rad levels aren't increasing anymore at this time, so he removes the suit.
Duke guns down one remaining Powder Ganger then hears a ton of Ghouls wandering down the passageway leading further into the sewer.
He slowly sneaks forward to see how many there are when one walks up the steps to greet him. It is glowing bright white with two ugly heads on it's shoulders. Duke blows it away easy enough, advances forward, then meets more resistance.
All sorts of different looking Ghouls are coming out of the rooms in the hallway. Duke unloads with the M60 with everything it's got. The narrow confines of the hallway makes it all to easy. The M60 rips their asses apart with a few rounds to spare.
Duke marvels at how many bullets he just spent on the freaks.
Then he notices that he is still sucking in a lot of radiation, so he quickly runs to the exit shaft leading up into Primm. He hopes to find someone in town who can heal him, otherwise he will have to sneak back into Goodsprings without alerting Sunny.

To be continued...
Next time: More Powder Gangers, Deputy Beagle is a bitch, and the Radscorpion Queen chases Duke all the way to Mojave Outpost.
