I know but Vic does not :) He joins the party even if there is no available space for him

Perhaps this is intentional, if you mean that he joins while in Metzgers' apartment. Who would not leave with somewhat uncharismatic person, if the alternative was to stay and hang around in a slaver gangs' hideout? :)

Small bug I found:
When starting new game select Chitsa, then press "create character". Result: it says male, but you get a rotating picture of female and changing from male to female doesn't do anything.

Question: In ddraw.ini there is an option to activate "Glovz's Combat Overhaul Mod" damage formula. Anyone know if this works correctly (after downloading and installing additional content)?

A number of us have asked, but I still haven't seen an answer - is there a way to change the rate of random encounters (not the world map animation speed)? A number of us are seeing virtually no random encounters, despite the world map moving at a normal speed. Random encounters are such a big part of this game that it seems a shame to play the game like this - I shouldn't be able to walk all over California right out of Arroyo without having to worry about being killed by anyone when wandering through the desert with my vault suit and spear. :)

I see that there's a section in the ddraw.ini file for "Ray's patch" to random encounters, but it's in a section marked as obsolete. Does that mean that the functionality should no longer be needed (it IS needed), or does it mean that the functions no longer WORK? I.e. if I play with these values, will it work, will it do nothing, or will it screw up the game?

Killap thank you so much. I really enjoy the work you have done.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but i just got to the den. The residential area has disappeared. The cars have returned blocking the path

I have a weird bug: when I enter the EPA map, my characters find themselves in a borderless black map, with no way out. Didn' t have any trouble on other maps I entered (Klamath, the Den, New Reno, Tribal Village, NCR, Sierra Army Depot, etc...). Has anyone else had the same problem?

It hasn't disappeared, it's just been moved as some found it strange to have to cut through the car yard to get to the residential area. Try looking south.

E rodjo ovako... You have only one point to charisma, so he won't join you because you probably have Sulik in your party, right? the deal is : numebr of party members you can have is your Charisma score divided by two. So having only one point, you can have one party member. Only when you get Charisma up to four points, you can have two guys in your party.

Nisi me razumeo.

@BuxnaMan
yep, I came across the same issue with Vic and already reported it.
Killap asked for a savegame, unfortunately I have it no more:(
Maybe you can provide it.

I have a save file just before I gave $1000 to the slaver.
Vic joinig bug save file

An entry in the ddraw.ini suggests there is an option to highlight objects on the ground. is that right? Which key is it? Asterisk?

";A key to press to toggle the highlighting of all items on the ground on the current map
ToggleItemHighlightsKey=42"

This would be helpful in some situations.

Hold shift. For other commands press F1 while in game.

I believe it is not the case here. Vic clearly says he can't join the party because there is no room for him (I had 5 points of charisma and Sulik + Cassidy in the party)

I don't have Sulik or anyone else in my party. Vic is simply not suppost to join as his dialog says but he does.

He is suppost to leave slaver's hideout but he is not suppost to join you.

If this was posted before, i am sorry.
Start of the game.
Female character, gifted, sex appeal. The game start. I do this:
Esc, esc, click - the screen goes black and i appear at the tent - finished the temple of trials. 600 exp, 15 karma reward.

Damn how lucky you need to be to find that out....
Also I tried this but didn't work for me. Maybe that was one time only bug. Do you have a save file(what are the odds of someone saving there)? Have you tried to do it again?

Again, maybe someone should organize this bug reports for Killap. It will be pretty hard for him to look through all these posts when he comes back. Maybe whoever was suppost to contact him in case of game breaking bugs. If not I will try doing it.

That's what this is for:

Thanks Dravean. Everything seems to be in working order. So black screen crashes, but I believe the new update corrected that.

One thing I'm curious about. Was something changed so that you can't save mid combat.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It's not a big deal, mostly because it's kind of a cheap way to win a fight

Yes. Saving during combat can lead to strange problems and so new measures were taken to prevent people from saving at times that are most likely to cause issues.

Last time I tried using it I somehow managed to fuckup something. Now I seem to get it.

Are all so far found bugs and posted here listed there? Since most people do not use wiki but rather post here.

There seems to be an issue, at least with the manual install. Can't seem to tell when Sulik is wearing a leather jacket. It's like the NPC appearance mod didn't quite make it or something. Been proceeding slowly due to classes so I can't be sure it's just Sulik or not, but there it is.

The manual install does not include any of the extras, such as the NPC appearance mod.

Couple of bugs:

1) In the Den, I successfully persuaded the squatters to leave the orphanage, but as soon as I moved combat initiated as if I had taken the kill them route.

2) In the primitive tribe, after the head warrior tells me to speak with Marli about the well, Marli doesn't mention it. Not until I return with Sulik's sister am I able to get the well quest.

3) Also concerning the well, I am unable to do anything with the bucket. I receive the quest, successfully attach the rope, but am unable to use the bucket. I tried talking to Marli again but it has no affect. Worth noting is that I had picked up the bucket on my first visit, so perhaps it already being in my inventory interfered with an update to the item or something? Save for this is attached.
Save

4) After saving Serlin from the cave in, I am unable to talk to him in the Shaman hut. I assume it's the rug problem.

5) Already mentioned I believe, but if you ask the head warrior what he can tell you about the village, you get two identical responses with different behavior.

6. During my second Kaga encounter, one of his responses is just "."

7. After completing the orphanage quest in the Den, if you return later and enter the West side, and walk to the Residential area, the orphanage doesn't exist, even though all the children are gone. If you directly enter the Residential area from the world map though, the orphanage is set up.

If I had realized that the rugs were going to be such an issue I wouldn’t have introduced them…never mind.
