Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

First of all, thank you Killap (and all the others who contributed to the project) for your work, it really enhances the game experience. But there are several places that suffer from the "can't reach that" problem, for example, all generators in the EPA, making most of the quests unachievable.

Somebody please tell me how do I remove him from the game completely.

You could try going to your fallout2\data\scripts folder and removing 5 files, eckaga1.int, eckaga2.int etc. Instead of deleting them, you can rename them or move them to some other location, that way they are easier to return if you change your mind or if another solution to your problem is found.

Nevill, just to verify, you did install RP 2.0.x over clean install of the game and not over RP 1.2?
Of course. I had a clean install.

And before you ask, it isn't in 'Program Files' folder either. :)

How easy will it be to add new sprites for the appearance mod? I saw two integers at the side of the character selection screen, so that integer is saved on the gamefile or the whole name of the critter? If it's the former, I guess there's some global array somewhere to modify?

Would somebody mind clarifying a bit how we could add custom PC sprites in the future? I suppose people will start releasing a shitload of these soon.

Ok, that at least eliminates the possibility of old files causing conflict in your case. :) Unfortunately that also mean that the problems can't be solved without Killap unless someone else cares to go thru and fix Kaga related files. :|

What's criteria for Vic joining your party? I have charisma 1 and when I payed $1000 to slavers I talked to Vic and he said he is going to be at Mom's (not join me). And right after that classic in-party dialog opened with combat control and other options. I tried leaving the town with him so he maybe leaves but he stays in my party.

Is there a donation link for all the hard work?
Not sure but really kind of you. :clap:

Also is anyone organizing all bugs reports for Killap? Possibly in wiki if someone can use it without breaking everything?

Bug
- If you return the pocket watch to Cornelius using the "the rat took your watch" option, Balthas will suddenly use Cornelius' dialogue next time you talk to him o.O

E rodjo ovako... You have only one point to charisma, so he won't join you because you probably have Sulik in your party, right? the deal is : numebr of party members you can have is your Charisma score divided by two. So having only one point, you can have one party member. Only when you get Charisma up to four points, you can have two guys in your party.

Here are some bugs I found:
When talking to Francis about the note in broken hills, if I tell him to leave the game crashes. If I tell him that i will kill him, then the dialogue ends without starting combat mode and I am free to speak with him again.
I am unable to tell Dan in broken hills about his missing wife after finding her corpse in the tunnels.
In Modoc, laddie does not join my party when going to look for Balthas' son. the quest can still be completed however.
In New Reno, after sleeping with Mrs. Bishop, she stands on the bed instead of lying down.

This may be off topic, but how do you jam the fan in the EPA? I've been walking around for at least an hour with no idea what to do. if someone could tell me what I need and where I can find it, it would be greatly appreciated.

@miles

[spoiler:8456ead77d] There is a metal pole in the small garage to the east of the EPA compound[/spoiler:8456ead77d]

To get Laddie to join you, you must have a positive reputation in Modoc, that is probably what happened.

Thanks! This didn't remove Kaga from the game, but fixed the whole encounter. He still appears, but does not initiate dialogue and attacks straight away. Just the way I like it. When hurt, he flees.

I don't miss the dialogue - his taunts are good enough. But I wonder if I'll see him again. I didn't look into those scripts, but in RP 1.2 I think they were the ones that set some variables related to the encounter.

Ah, well, I'll just play and see how it turns out.

It is normal that every single ghoul dissapear after you do "Gecko powerplant problem" quest?
I destroyed the reactor, so maybe they run scared of the explosion? Now I can't get the car, because I need to have a Fuel Cell Controller...

@BuxnaMan
yep, I came across the same issue with Vic and already reported it.
Killap asked for a savegame, unfortunately I have it no more:(
Maybe you can provide it.

But according to that rule, one point in CH wouldn't even allow you to pick up a single NPC, would it?

Yes, I thought about that, but I guess the makers of the game thought something like this : "Let's just give the poor fella at least one follower in case he didn't know what's Charisma for" or maybe one follower is the minimum.
