Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 (Unofficial Expansion)

Hello, all. First time posting here and I hope this thread is the right place.

I've finished the RP twice now and I've since become aware that, although there haven't been any more official releases, some work has continued to be done on RP. I'm more specifically referring to things like Lujo's Gameflow Fixes and Magnus' Vault 15 Guard Fix. I'm looking for insight on any tweaks/fixes that can enhance the RP. I'm browsed the Database and looked over most of the mods within RP Fixes, but only a few have documentation and I'm not sure which are still valid as of the latest release.

Anyone have any insight into building a better, more up-to-date RP?
 
I'm unable to obtain the Cafe of Broken Dreams encounter no matter how long I try. I've saved and reloaded three times thus far simply to get this encounter, and in every instance I get all special encounters except for the Cafe. I even used the save editor to give myself all the perks that improve my odds of finding special encounters with no success.

Is this a know problem with the RP builds?

Also, if it's relevant, I'm using the Weapons Redone mod.

You might try using F12se to check if GVAR 617 (GVAR_SPECIAL_ENCOUNTER_CAFE) has been set in your save.
And check if the encounter table in worldmap.txt has been modified or something, by default it should be:

Chance:1%,Counter:1,Special,Map:Special Cafe Encounter,Enc:Special1, If(Player(Level) > 5) And If(Global(617) < 1)

If both are good, I'd say you just have to keep trying.

I've checked. Both are good. But I'm confident that if I just kept trying, it would turn up nothing. I've already spent an obscene amount of time on it with no results.

Is it possible for me to populate the Cafe artificially on the world map? I want my dog.

Try changing "Chance:1%" in the line to something like "Chance:90%" and deleting worldmap.dat cache under your Fallout2\Data folder, it should increase the chance of the encounter.
 
I've Come across a bug with the Den quest involving Lara. when i kill Tyler in the last fight, The battle doesn't end, and when i end it manually I try to talk to Lara to trigger the reward, she just says "Alright, lets go. Everyone follow me" in a text box above her head. does anyone have a solution? I searched but couldn't find a solution, just a reference to someone else having the problem in a previous version of the RP mod.

This might be due to the 'zero damage critical'. Basically, if someone gets a high roll on the critical hit table, triggering the insta-kill effect, yet is hit for zero damage, the game doesn't register it as a kill. See if the issue is persistent if you do the fight again.
 
The zero damage critical bug should be fixed by sfall already.

Well with the above ruled out, it still seems to me the game doesn't register that all enemies are killed in the fight. You might want to check if someone ran away. Or replay the fight and see if the outcome is different this time.

I replayed it multiple times, same issue every time, and nobody ran away. Fixed it by modifying the GVAR values to trigger the end of the quest, but thanks for the help nonetheless.

Try ECCO mod for RP.

If there's an used Geiger counter or Stealth Boy on your trade table, you can't sell them due to an engine bug. It got fixed since sfall 3.7a.

In Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 does not have this patches, do I need to install something else?

I can not sell the used Flare.

I do not know if that was fixed in the patch.
