Fallout 3 Cosplay

Fallout 3 PA suck, but this is really a nice job. And I think that making a full size, usable PA from F1/2 would be much harder, so don't blame this guy for his choice. I still think it would kick ass if someone got a suit like this for a post-apo LARP.

He should have tried to make the flaming sword.
I''m sure the result would be quite more interesting:>

Meanwhile, there's still kids on earth dying everyday from preventable diseases like malaria and polio and shit.
Real contribution to humanity there bud! :P

I'm sure if he hadn't made the costume, curing diseases would've been the first thing on his to-do list.

People here making fun of cosplayers strikes me somewhat as the pot calling the kettle black. Or gun-metal gray if you prefer.
Detect sarcasm roll failed.

Damn, that would've been so cool had it been the original or Advanced PA.
Also, I just noticed how big ass those ''handles'' on the shoulderpads are. Imagine how you could use those against the wearer in battle... ;)

I bet the FO3 PA is a helluva lot easier to make then Original PA.

Well, quoting the T-45d article on The Vault: ''According to the Fallout 3 art book, the power armor was designed directly in 3D, skipping the concept art phase.'' I guess that explains Beth's simplicity. :|

For that to be the case the people here would have to be cosplayers themselves. Pot calling the kettle black means that someone is being hypocritical.

Some may consider this classic origin for FO3 BOS bottling ...

Holy cow, that's awesome! I've always wanted a power armor suit since first playing Fallout 1, might have to contact this guy and see if he's planning on making more!

To the guys credit he made it look fantastic as well as the minigun too. But why the fuck would you choose the fallout 3 power armor and minigun. They look like ass and a definitely the worst looking from all the other games. I mean if you are going to create a cosplay of something at least do it of something that looks cool like the original fallout armor or the advanced power armor.

The thing about "uuurgh it offers no pruteczon cuz its like nothin from fallout 1" should take a look at all the past power armors  except from the deadly minigun, the wearer should be slow and clumsy. A little wire a la cowboy lasso around the feet and BONK their the bastard lies on the ground just waiting for a random pointy stick/axe/whatever cutting through a vulnerable area between the metal sheets.

But I maybe have missed if it has some mechanical movement assistance, correct me if I'm wrong.

^At least the first one doesn't get pwnd by steel pipes.

Anyway, a really nice effort, too bad he chose the ugliest PA of the lot to recreate.

The original power armor is more like a walk-in suit, fully contained and immobile unless powered up. This version, on the other hand, looks like modernized version of Vivec guard armour with an oversized helmet.

It's actually kind of weird that you can run in them in Fallout 1, even with the servo-powered limbs, since the design and intent was for them to be like "walking tanks".

Ah well.

I *think* I read somewhere that you were supposed to be able to only walk in PA, but it was so frustrating navigating city maps they enabled running in the end.

But don't take my word on it.

Explains why it's dimensions are so wrong as well. That or the Bos uncovered the mascot version of the armour.

I like it, looks better than the ingame version. :P
...
Except for the shoulder pads, those still look like hammered out saucepans.

I'm sure that, as mentioned above, being able to run in PA was one of those choices that had to be made for gameplay reasons. Who'd use the power armor if it forced you to move at a walking pace?

As far as the cosplay, I'm pretty much in agreement with most. It's a great effort, it's just too bad the FO3 PA design is so goddamn ugly. Especially the pauldroons. I mean seriously, who the hell looked at those and was like, "YES! Those are awesome, we must include them!"

So this is why I could kill Enclave soldiers, armed only with brass knuckles. Their armor must have been made out of foam and paper mache.

Anyway, the guy's work is impressive. It's too bad the original design is so shoddy. The helmet looks ok, although too much like a storm trooper's. Everything from the neck down looks like something that came out of a landfill.
