Fallout 4 has now gone gold

I'd bet plenty of people here will do the same, and it won't be due to esprit de corps, it will be a result of most of us being older people who have learned to be discerning customers over the years.
Yes, I was grown up and hard working person when the first Fallout came out actually. Buying all the Fallout-labelled gizmo is a thing for the young Beth fanboys actually, our duty is to make some fun of it! ^^

Not everyone is a thief, and insinuating that everyone must be says a great deal about you.

Please learn English, re-read the post and try again. What I actually said was "EITHER buy OR steal F4". See that? In English, when you put the words either and or in a sentence it means you will do one or the other. If youre not a thief, then the implication is that you will buy it. That's how English works. What it doesn't mean is that everyone is a thief or I would have said "steal F4" (see how I left out the Either and the Or?

You are literally not making points here. Buying something is not an endorsement. Whether a particular user buys a particular game or not is irrelevant. The end result of a person buying Fallout 4 is Bethesda and any retailer you bought they bought it through gets a little money and the purchaser gets the game. That's it. Bethesda doesn't get proved right, naysayers don't get proved wrong. The whole "you bought this game so I win" is a stupider argument than the Donkey Kong vs Mortal Kombat argument in Billy Madison.

Your assumption that "almost everyone" here will either buy or steal F4 is just ridiculously stupid. But I bet you know that yourself, and you just keep spouting BS for the heck of it.

I am debating buying it now, not because I am excited for it but because it seems like a good way to kickstart my Youtube channel.

Of course you will buy it. Shocker, I called that months ago about you.

In fact everyone on NMA will still buy it, or at least pirate it, even if they are pretending they wont in a pathetic attempt to look "super kewl" to their "bros" while "brofisting" each other up the ass.

BTW, you are probably the worst offender of all. Multiple posts in the same thread over and over again whining about the same shit for months now, before you've even played it no less, and you finally admit you will buy it.

Pathetic.

Uhmm who are you again?

Someone who's reading stuff on this place since 2006 and not even learned one thing about it. That's what I call dense.

Ah, what gives! You know guys? He is right. We should simply admit it. It is our fault, and no one else is to blame here. Because honestly, deep in your hearts you know the truth. All we would have to do is to throw our taste over board and lower our standarts. So it is clearly our fault.

The only reason why I am even considering buying it is because I am building a youtube channel and I got a 23% discount cupon from Green Man Gaming.

Otherwise, just like with every other game I don't like I would just ignore it and not buy it.

Buying something is not an endorsement.

It is since this isn't the first Bethesda fallout game. If you buy it now, its effectively an endorsement because you've already had the benefit of past experience and already THINK you know what to expect. In effect you are acknowledging the past release.

So, why do you think someone would get a free pass here throwing all NMAers together like we would be some kind of hivemind who does nothing else but hating on Bethesda like zealots.

Hmmm you're right! How would I ever get the impression that NMA was a sort of hivemind? I must be crazy!

So? Let's asume even if 90% of the NMAers would buy it, does that make the criticizm go away? Do for example the bugs that the game will sure have dissapear because you endorse it? Does the writing improve? Or anything else?

But isn't one of the pro-arguments for Bethesda game the fact that they don't make sequels since they "make every game completely from the ground up"?

It's not an acknowledgement if this is the case.

Fallout: New Vegas was released before Fallout 4 and I loved that game. If I buy Fallout 4 and with the current price at a particular retailer that is looking very likely it is mainly because of Fallout: New Vegas. I know a genuine Fallout style game is possible on that engine. I know Bethesda has played New Vegas. I know that elements of Bethesda have acknowledged problems with Fallout 3. I know it has been 7 years since Fallout 3 and design/people change. My probable purchase of Fallout 4 is not an endorsement of Fallout 3.

If you actually PLAY the game and THEN bitch and whine about it, I've got no issue with that (unless of course you secretly like it but are just trying to earn kewl points on NMA or codex). W

What I do think is silly is the months and months of whinging from thousands of posts about a game that hasn't even been played yet, most of which is a lame attempt to try to one up the previous guy who just posted the most horrible thing they could think of in an effort to be even "angrier" and "cooler". Especially since I suspect the vast majority of NMAers bought or stole F3 in the past and played it and so should know what they are getting themselves into, but still are planning to buy or steal it again. Kinda negates their point.

You can go anywhere an spout that shit, because that's an obvious assumption. Go to a [insert games name] forum and say people there are gonna either buy or pirate that game. See any difference from NMA?

It's the fanboy paradox. You can't win against something that doesn't even care about making sense.

It's easy - you can only win by really, really loving FO3

Not that FO3 fanboys care though, they never care, that's why we keep having these arguments. Because nobody really cares :V
