Maybe I'm more annoyed with it than others because I've got a fairly broad hearing range (compared to the average joe).
Listened to it to find the most annoying passage, and for me that would be Gold Slouch passage from 0:52 on.

Totally fucks my ears.

Anyone check out Mark's music for Allods Online? In the process of ripping it now, but it's a slow process. And I had to come close to actually playing the game to get it.[1]

[1] I'm sure it's a great game. Really.

By the way, we finally have track names for Fallout 2 music, we only had ones for Fallout 1.
Did I miss something?

The music I had since 2007 was with the same track names as this.
It's just 192kbits instead of 320kbits here with the recent re-release.

Actually, the track names for Fallout 2 music hosted here at NMA were invented by us for that purpose, and apparently Mark Morgan and Vladislav Isayev liked them enough to adopt them as "official" names for the re-release. :)

Personally? I love the music. This makes me sadder even more that Obsidian didn't invite MM to make music for F:NV. Mark himself said he "could take Fallout to another level musically". If I imagine how great the soundtrack could've been in FO3 compared to the listen-and-forget shit that Zur made....

Obsidian had little to do with the decision. This is up to the publisher, not developer, in most cases.

...How so at least? Zur may have had his own sound and done some more interesting stuff than Soule in the beginning of his career, but now he's basically as cookie-cutter as Soule but with less talent.

I doubt Soule'd do a worse job.

Told you there were no official track names before! :)
And here I was dancing around chanting "Ausir was wrong, Ausir was wrong".

Foiled again... :x

Maybe MM didn't know this as well and thought the Fallout devs came up with them. :>

Someone should ask him. Heh.

Maybe Isaev thought they were official so he used them, and Morgan thought Isaev made them up? :)

Wait, so Ausir missing that NMA had those titles suddenly becomes Ausir being right as usual?

Damn, he's better at this than Batman. Or House. ;)

So Ausir wasn't wrong? Whew, the universe is not going to explode.

By the way which tracks did you like? I liked these the most:
03 Khans Of The New California
06 Vats Of Goo
07 A Trader's Life
08 Moribund World
10 Second Chance
17 My Chrysalis Highwayman
18 Beyond The Canyon

If I have to point out the best, then maybe it'll be Moribound World, I don't really know.

I've always had my own rip of the in-game music so I never bothered to look at NMA's soundtrack page. And I was right that there were no official names before. :)
