Obsidian had little to do with the decision. This is up to the publisher, not developer, in most cases.
And Inon Zur's style, hmmmpfh hmmmmpfh, fits what Bethesda wants for the franchise, shall we say...
...How so at least? Zur may have had his own sound and done some more interesting stuff than Soule in the beginning of his career, but now he's basically as cookie-cutter as Soule but with less talent.

I've always had my own rip of the in-game music so I never bothered to look at NMA's soundtrack page. And I was right that there were no official names before.
