I can't heal my eye damage

TON

First time out of the vault
I'm playing fallout 2 (the UK version, I believe), and when i fought Lenny in NCR, he gave me a critical eye hit, and now I have eye damage and can't get it fixed. Where the bloody hell can one do that. I'm getting a tad frustrated. It sux to only have 2 in perception.....

Can anyone please help me??

I've tried every doc in the world! I've tried the AI'Doc in Vault City Courtyard. Nothing! I've tried the doctor skill. Nothing!

Well, I can't remember if a skill can fix those problems or if you need a specific inventory item.

Odd... all the past few years I have played Fallout, I don't think I have ever recieved a crippling injury ever for my PC.

And this is the first one I've got... And I've played it for some years now......

It's happened to me maybe a couple of times in all my games, but it's always been curable with Doctor.

Yeah, maybe your doctor skill is just too low. Try reading some books and using Doctor's Bag.

*cough*There are no books for Doctor Skill*cough*

But using a Doctor's Bag is a good idea. If that
doesn't work, then I'd advise you to try and level
up and put some into doctor (you'll want some more
in it for later "upgrades" anyway).

If it still doesn't work, you might want to revert to
a previous save, or cheat (using a program like Fallout
2 Cracker or FALCHE) to "fix" the problem.

Of course, I would try and do it the way it was
meant to be done first, though.

I wish you luck.

Make a new BETTER character with at least 75 in doctor.

Doctor really isn't that useful, in my opinion. It's a nice vanity skill to get but there are better things to spend your points on for quite some time beforehand.

funny, when i player the FO2 Very Difficult Mod a couple or so weeks ago, this was the most useful skill ever. it allowed me to heal 20-40 HPs on average with the three uses per day (not including using first aid also). Also, there was a perk i grabbed (cant rememeber the name) that did extra healing every time i used those skills.

It saved me on running out of stimpacks (which in that mod it is easy to do).

BUT - only when running that mod :)

NO MODDING TALK!

Incidentally, I like to think of Doctor as being worth a Tag! (After Speech and Energy Weapons) if you want to max out all skills for a versatile character, the reason that you can max out most other skills with books or misc training, but not this one. It helps with healing, but it also yields you the Living Anatomy perk,w hich is nice. Plus, it helps get stuff in Vault City.

Why would you ever tag Energy Weapons? Against higher level enemies they tend to be pretty useless. And you don't get the good ones until you are facing opponents with decent armor.

Big Guns would probably be better, in my opinion. (Bozar.)

Once I had my leg broke, I tried a lot of times the doctor skill and it did work, just be insistent, I think that in 100 tries at least one will heal your eye.

Aimed shots.
You can't snipe with big guns, they just burst, but you can with energy weapons. Which can work very well.

I don't think it even matters once you have Sniper, though. I've been surprised when I FAIL to kill an Enclave trooper in one shot with a Bozar.

So would I with a Pulse shot to the eyes :) Plus, I can shoot from behind followers and shit.

Yeah, but if I get unlucky on an encounter roll and a group of enemies are in my face, I can kill two or more with one shot.
