IGN's Fallout: New Vegas Demo at E3

Huntman

First time out of the vault
A few people will have caught it live, but now it's available on Youtube. IGN's "Larry Liberty with sunglasses" demo. A lot of time is spent in thise one just screwing around.

No it isn't. Pretty women who do no journalistic work have no place in journalism, sod off.

Also why is so much of the stuff from E3 so loud? Not just New Vegas, but all games I've been covering for GB, all the videos are really loud. It's bad enough to have to go through G4 TV's CONSTANT EXCITABLE SHOUTING.

the best part of this vid is the chick at the beginning :]
Really? I found her more than a little annoying I mean sure she's good looking, but does she really know any about games, or was she hired by IGN so males drool or over her?

Looks like they still have some tech work to do when it comes to getting your stuff back in your inventory.

Otherwise casinos will be the new car trunks and that's just terrible.

i am happy more attention to details is given and what is seemed like a more mature theme but truth be told i am more interested in seeing the plot and characters personality's given the same love

Notice how quick they keep skipping over dialogue?

It'd be unusual, but I wonder if it still has some placeholders they want to avoid people hearing...

Regardless, they're doing their best to sell the gambling and violence over dialogue, C&C and plot. Because who cares about those?

Yeah, it seems more like selling. And I'd skip those too if I had to read em for the hundredth time.

I haven't been following the New Vegas news, so I have to ask: where the hell does the electricity come from to power all those lights?

In that "first" GameVideos.com clip the voices for the NCR troops sounded a bit off. I wouldn't be surprised if there's still voiceover work to do. It seems like the kind of thing that's easy to add later on. The weapon stealing bug was kind of funny though. I was wondering why it was taking so long to demonstrate a weapon. It's still in development, bugs are to be expected. They've still 4 months till release, right? :)

And as alternative, from Helios One, if the player is doing it 'right'. :>

BUT E3 IS EXCITING BROTHER NONE! WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GODDAMN VIDEOS GAMES, AFTER ALL!

Not the bulk of IGN's target audience, anyway.

They have black people working for this.

[spoiler:7b4197ed6c]No racism intended, I don't even know black people, since there are none in my country.[/spoiler:7b4197ed6c]

Anyway, he lost karma for stealing - DAMN! I know it's more realistic, but I hate it anyway! Like if they used to have no weight for ammo before Fallout 3, and they add it in Fallout 3 - I'd hate it.

Also, he got negative reputation for "anonymously" blowing those people - WTF!?!?!? I mean, how the fuck can he get that reputation? It seems like nobody has passed his Intelligence check here. Because if someone did, he would go like:
(Intelligence) So, if your character kills stealthly people, nobody will know he killed them? And nobody will hate his for that?

Seriously, WTF!? Anyway, even the original Fallouts has their fails (at the end of the Temple of Trials, if you steal the key, you unlock the door and walk through it before the very eyes of Cameron, but he seems to not notice that).

Well, if people just randomly blow up, I would suspect the guy holding the detonator has something to do with it. But, hey, that's just me.

I agree. But what if you hide and nobody sees you? You still get negative reputation. Anyway, if they knew you blew up those people, they'd attacked you (what's the difference between this and shooting that person/people with a pistol). In real life, you'd make sure nobody sees you holding the detonator anyway.

Yeah, that's another thing, what's with all these invited journalists clapping, whooping and jumping around about how excited they are. It's okay to love games, guys, it's part of the job, but honestly, keep a little professionalism going on please.
