InXile hires Mark Morgan for Wasteland

Is this wonderful Wasteland news spreading to many other game sites? / How much do they plan to advertise on their own before the kickstart drive begins?

It's the start of something beautiful, that's why it can't last, let's hope a few good games get released before the model falls over... :|

Baloney. After Kickstarter there will be more sites like it, with better options for the artists. I'm currently following a few post-Kickstarter projects in the process of being funded by Kickstarter.

How's that for ya?

Can't I be a pessimistic bastard...some things are too good to be true, therefore I can't believe it will ever happen, though I'll think of you Twinkie when I'm cradling Wasteland 2 box tightly in my hands.

Because Stackpole, Pavlish and Fargo are three of the four original designers of Wasteland.

Well, looks like I'll be purchasing another game on launch day. To infinity, and beyond.

Or before launch day, which is the idea here.

Is anyone from Black Isle there?

Jason D. Anderson (also Troika) worked on the title but is gone now. He's from Interplay TSR more than BIS though.

Stackpole worked on Bard's Tale III, Wasteland and other titles, and is a sci fi author. Pavlish produced a ton of titles with Interplay, from Wasteland to Descent to Carmageddon.

I love Black Isle as much as anyone else but it's kind of getting annoying how they're almost seen as the only WRPG studio of note ever, frankly. I'd say that having people from the original Wasteland to work on a sequel is more of note for the project in question.

Thanks for the replies with the info.

Well, people from Black Isle did make several stellar RPG's (quite a few, if you count Troika games) versus one Wasteland, so it makes sense.

One Wasteland, three Bard's Tales, and Dragon Wars. They weren't exactly light-weights themselves.

Brian Fargo - @BrianFargo
I have most the major websites ready to announce when we launch. But certainly feel free to spread the word! Wasteland 2 is coming!

Mark Morgan's soundtrack for Fallout IS Fallout itself, along with the game's original colors and art work etc.

However, am I the only one who thinks Planescape's ST is too similar to F1-2's ?

anyway I just found a nice ambient/future mix. check it out. I'm not advertising at all, don't even know the artist, just a friend put the link to her wall, and I happened to listen to it.

it ain't bad at all
