New Fallout 3 concept art - east coast confirmed

No no no, most of those are probably from Rogue warrior, another Bethesda project.
Does Zombie Interactive (the developer) have a history of working with Liquid? Anyway, as far as I know, Rogue Warrior is not a PA game. It's set in modern day North Korea, featuring, well, North Korean army. I'm not an expert on their military, but I doubt that they use mutant fishes and crudely constructed buggies and cranes.

Then again, maybe they do and that's why we need to destroy them before they release the devil fish into our waters.

Sounds dangerous. If it's true, then they are going to do the same errors as authors of FT.

That's Bethsoft department anyway, that's why they have assistant producers, to set up things like midlleware for the developing houses.

Anyway maybe tomorrow we'll have a better clue about these images.

No. No mind tricks were needed. I just read the thread on the Bethesda board, where the developers told us that it wasn't from Fallout 3.

Also, I looked at the link someone gave to screenshots from Rogue Warrior.

I think its pretty obvious that most of those screens assumed to be in Fallout are from that game.

Kathode speaking about the images discussion:
My most wanted image for posting on internet forums is the "Jump to Conclusions" mat from Office Space. There doesn't seem to be a good picture of it online and I'm way too lazy to get out the DVD and get a screen capture. I could use it all over the place though smile.gif

"You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO."

Edit: Looks like someone finally put up one at a decent resolution - http://img274.imageshack.us/img274/4894/ju...clusions2xk.jpg. Nice!

The other devs are just laughing at everyone because of this

I'm sure that you are right, but I'd like to note that nobody stated "these are not Fallout 3 images". Three developers *implied* that people jumped to conclusions, which is a very vague statement, to say the least.

I can only repeat that neither the buggy nor the crane fits Rogue Warrior's setting and add that a) Bethesda developers lied many times in the past or b) used misleading, vague statements aimed to create an impression that some facts were denied without actually denying it. The Shivering Isles is one of the many examples.

Frankly I find their doing nothing but posting laughing smileys and mumbling something about jumping to conclusions to be.. depressing.
Whether or not those are images from Fallout 3, their sheer contempt for the fans is obvious.

Buggy? probably not.

Crane? Take another look at the location on those Rogue Warrior screenshots and the machinery in the background.

On the contrary. They aren't allowed to say anything about the game. Yet they've bended the rules enough to tell people something. That's as close to coming at at saying, "no those models are from Fallout 3" as they can get.

They could remain silent about the whole thing, but of course then we have lots of complaints the other way too. Damned if you do/dont... I guess

What, they can't say what's not going to be in the game?
If I go and post a pic of a giant pink mutant bunny with lazer beam eyes wielding a lightsaber with a Brazilian flag stapled to it's butt and say it's from Fallout 3, they can't say it isn't?

I guess you've never worked under an NDA?

No, you can't say what isn't in a game.

Damn, I wish Bethesda posted some official info already. It would be nice to know if Fallout 3 is worth waiting for or not.

@ Autoduel:

Fish? As for the crane, compare the big-ass port cranes on the screenshot to that crude construction from the Liquid site.

Crude construction? Its not a crude construction at all. Its well put together and mechanically accurate. Its just an incomplete piece of a larger construction.

The exact kind of contructions that would be found around the type of shores in those screenshots.

Like I said, the buggy looks to be from another project. The fish too. But considering that 90% of it is clearly from projects other than Fallout and 3 or 4 developers said that those models aren't from Fallout, I think its a stretch to believe that they are

anyone besides me expect the trailer to be a narrator voice over a black screen and maybe a few moments of cut scene landscape footage at the end? Thus nothing that great shown?

maybe even like the GTA4 trailer a bit...

I'd be very happy if they showed as much as was in the GTA4 trailer. That would mean, we'd see a couple minutes of in engine footage, we'd see lots of NPCs and know what kind of camera angle they are using.

Its rare that a teaser shows even that much although, I guess the first Oblivion teaser showed in-game footage and even combat.
