First time out of the vault

NMA has taken some interest in Bioshock. So I'm curious who else is here that might have a pre-order and anxiously awaiting the soon to be release of Bioshock, besides myself!?
There are quite a few things about this game that have caught my interest. For starters, the setting and atmosphere of the game are quite unique. How many games offer the player a chance to visit a vast city deep under water? Not to mention the city is a warped visionary's creation set in the late 50's.
The previews of Bioshock during E3 dissapointingly show the game as being another mind numbing shooter with a unique setting as it's only hook. That has me worried we won't be seeing another inventive and complex game that was System Shock 2.
And to add further worry to this, the developers have themselves gone quiet about the RPG aspects of the game here at the last minute, and are now trying to sell the game as an action title above anything else. Except the lead developer Ken Levine, mentions that despite the game being action oriented as a draw for the shooter crowd, there will be something appealing for everybody at least. He is refering to the strong story elements.
In my opinion that statement is a cause for concern. Still, I will be buying this game because the pro's exceed whatever negatives I see with only the previews to go by.
