New Vegas tidbits: Mark Morgan and cinematics

I really don't want to get my hopes up too much for F:NV. but it's getting harder.

I hope bethesda won't force him to do any generic epic orchestra shit. Good ol' ambient fits Fallout the best.

What would be the point? Wouldn't they just hire Inon Zur again or some similar chap?

As for Mark Morgan himself....well, it's been over 10 years since Fallout 1., so I am extremely curious of what he could come up with after all this time.

I was never into Morgan's soundtrack either. With the exception of The Glow, most of it seemed to be pretty generic ambient. Here's a suggestion that's a little out there: Tomandandy. Their soundtrack for The Hills Have Eyes remake was far better than it deserved to be, and would fit pretty well.

If they make the setting look Fallouty, if they ban drinking from toilets, if they ban more disorganized bandits and raiders than organized citizens, if they ban more ammo and chemicals than food, if they ban cities that get their food and water out of their asses, if they bad stupid weapons, if they ban stupid dumbed down SPECIAL, if they ban lulzy dialog choices, if they decrease, to some extent, the scaling down of the wasteland, if they ban fight at every 10 yards, if they ban badly designed underground levels that make you wanna cry, and if they ban VATCHEAT (even if they only tweak it so it's VATS), this WILL be the fourth fallout game I buy.

If they miss only one thing of those, forget it.

So here's a list Obsidian!!! You better not disappoint!

Because MARK MORGAN RULES! :D

Check out http://www.markmorganmusic.com/ and if you still think his ambience is generic, then you have a problem.

Yeah, even his name is badass.

Can NMA team contact Morgan and ask about this rumour?

If those earlier rumors and this will be true, then we acctualy might get fourth good Fallout game. God I hope it`s true.

the Den music its the only music music that dont get out of my head for the last 5 years, and still I dont get annoyed by that.

New Vegas sometimes seems to be getting pretty interesting.

Tutituti tutiiiiii... tutitetuuuu...

Awesome. But I kind of know all of them anyway. Redding was awesome. The Glow, I loved the Brotherhood, New Reno too, Vault 13, Vault City... Just to name a few.

One I can't remember is Shady Sands... Why's that?

Let's not forget that they are also developing another action game called Alpha Protocol...

...and it's chance to suck is pretty high IMHO.

Here's the message Mark Morgan left on my wall on facebook back in July:
Hi Thomas, haven't spoken for awhile, hope things are cool, New vegas looking promising Cheers, Mark

Heh. I'll ask him, sure, but like Ausir said, he's very unlikely to be able to answer. I'll check with Feargus too while I'm at it.

BTW chances of him working on Alpha Protocol are close to zero, since that one is about 90% finished or even more AFAIK. Figures that music would be mostly done at this point.

Holy shit this is great news. I would be happy for Zur as well, FO3 music was great, but Morgan is a legend...damn I can't wait.

Pretty high probability indeed. Somewhere around 98.6%.
