No gear-stripping in future New Vegas DLC

Still beats the Pitt's reason. The only explanation I got for not letting Charon come was because he was ugly.
 That's fucking hilarious... it's sad that Beth's writers probably didn't intend that though

I tried to bring fawkes, and he told be he didn't have enough food. I'm calling on that because if Fawkes and I don't need food in the main game, we don't need food for a simple mine cart ride.

If you bring that slave girl he'll tell you that "you don't need to bring some diseased whore along." or something along those lines.

Or they will limit the carry weigh to 20 lbs wich is...well, it's not much. At best it's a reinforced leather or Sierra Madre armor, plus a weapon with some ammo. ;)
I support this, seeing as the trailer depicts a lot of small arms and melee combat with opponents wearing light-medium armor. In that kind of situation I would definately bring something to give me an unfair advantage unless there was a feature in place to prevent me from doing so. However, I do believe that 20 is a little TOO harsh, 30 fits better especially if you take hardcore into account.

I hope the 4th or last dlc is in Cali. like New Reno or something.
Bethesda already described it as taking place in The Divide, so unfotunatly no, it won't be in Cali. However Beth DID say there were 4 confirmed dlc with 3 more in consideration.

They.. didn't? That was a rumor, and not even that much of a credible one in the first place.

Yes, I often wandered the Wastelands with little to no equipment to keep myself from being too overpowered in most cases. This is a design flaw in "fallout" 3 and New Vegas. Way too much gear and it's way too easy to get. Fallout 2 I don't remember having that massive amount of things, maybe two power armor sets, and I still got my ass handed to me by groups of Enclave. Too much gear makes the last two games too easy. Rebalancing the enemies just drags the fight out longer... and if this were still turn-base, maybe the strategy element would make it seems less boring.
That's because they are poorly tested and balanced. The original games got around the problem mostly with criticals, which was a lame way around it but worked to an extent. It's a common problem in RPGs in general, they aren't destructively tested and balanced so when you build characters properly or completely wrong, the system falls apart.

Gameplay-wise (in terms of strategy gameplay as a purely non-dialog RPG), I kinda liked the idea of gear stripping, I like that kind of stuff. However, it might seem kind of unrealistic and not a very RPGish thing to do. Overall, I like the idea of gear stripping.

(I'm talking purely theoretically, I haven't played Fallout: New Vegas yet, my laptop can't run it)
