Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

I don't care how much hype they got caught up in, if something is spinning out of control then you take measures to calm it down. You don't succumb to it yourself and let it blow out or proportion. They knew what they were doing and they kept doing it. Indie developer, big developer, first game, several games down the line; Irrelevant. They dun gon fucked up and I'm giddy about the backlash they're receiving.

That brings up some questions though... How does "The Overboss" have access to this technology but The Institute, Shi, BOS and Enclave doesn't? And how could one possibly become invincible to 'anything', even a fatman? Even Optimus Prime that was supposed to be nearly undefeatable got blown up by some missiles.

What bugs me the most is the fact that it's not some immensely powerful pre-war government technology, it's a power line from a bumper cars ride. If that shit makes you impervious to bullets then power armor should let you become a fucking god amongst men.

Wait... Really?
That's the source of invulnerability?
Why am I even surprised at this point...

It's gets better when you realize the final quest of the DLC is powering up the park. So how did he...

Here's an even better question. How is anything at all running in the park? Is it backup power? Why is it that all the shit that happens to have cool stuff behind it? (fucking secret to weaponizing nuka-cola, the elevator which leads to the last star core to get the retarded quantum X-01 power armor ETC) Like, if it is backup power, I would think that the elevator that leads into like a fucking five story high building with no other way down is more important than keeping the fucking robco arena running.

Also, why is X-01 power armor, which is clearly special Enclave armor, painted glossy blue and put in one of the most pre-war locations there is? And why is it working?! Why is a literal working suit of armor, complete with a fusion core, in the middle of a fun kiddie park? Where did they get it? They literally tell us it was made post-war in the game itself, whether it's enclave or not!

"The X-01 series of Power Armor was specially engineered and employed by remnants of the U.S. military after the Great War, and offers increased protection over the older, pre-war models."

Well it seems like all the x-01 you find in the game are in werid places. How can be so many in the wastes ect

On a video showing how to get the armour, there were a few people asking how it could be there since it was made after the war. Most of the replies were the usual "Who cares?" kind of comments, but one person actually said something along the lines of "Well the Enclave might have painted it then put it there."

...

So basically the remnants of the pre-war government decided to take a set of their newest power armour, the most advanced ever made and is so costly to make they can't outfit every Enclave soldier with it, take it all away across the ocean and across the US. Using valuable resources, time and manpower to find a rundown theme park in the middle of nowhere, plant said power armour inside it somewhere after painting it blue and then leaving it for some ice box jackass to find.

The Enclave is many things but they aren't that fucking stupid.

I know. I was talking about their east coast division. The guys that blindly follow a monitor claiming to be the president of the USA. Not defending Nuka World, I'm just saying that NW and F3 are equally stupid.

I know you were, I don't think anyone can rationally defend Nuka World, F3 has some credit to it at least.

I know why Colonel Autumn disobeys Eden, I bet most of his orders were complete bollocks and setting the Lone Wanderer free was the breaking point.

Eden: "Colonel, I have need of your opinion on something."

Autumn: "Yes Mr President?"

Eden: "We still have some old X-01 suits that we could use but for aesthetical reasons I'd rather they be disposed of. Scatter them around the Commonwealth, no one will use them there."

Autumn: "Err sir?"

Eden: "Wait! Paint one blue and stick it in that Nuka World theme park. That'll mess with them."

Autumn: *sighs with heavy resignation* "Yes sir."

Yeah. I still don't understand why the Enclave and Brotherhood fought. They're both similar groups that want to activate the purifier. No one knew about Eden's genocide plan, so what are the Enclave soldiers doing?

"Haha you like the sight of your own blood Brotherhood? We will be the ones to activate the purifier!"

"Noooooo! We wanted to activate it. We're going to find a badass 19 yo to help us build a robot and defeat you, mark my words."

One claim I find amusing, is how many will say the combat's better overall; but is it? Enemies still level and become tanks, harder enemies are scattered all throughout with little reason, too many areas are over stuffed with enemy camps, a crummy perk system that slowly improves weapon/melee/unarmed damage, zero differing ammo types, no grenade rifles, no C4, terrible enemy AI, and more! The more I play, the more I'm not all that impressed by the combat, especially in Nuka World where things like rad rats take so many hits to die, which I'm guessing is due to them leveling up. It takes fewer hits to take down a gatorclaw, but the rad rat's the tank?

Buh-bu-buh..... muh gun animations!

Also, that one hotel that houses the vault full of robots in Far Harbor? The ghouls in it, I sat there unloading multiple shotgun shots into them for like a minute, and only then did they die. Ghouls, the frail ass bastards who have to do a silly walk so they don't break their own legs! Granted, they're charred ghouls, but if anything I'd think that'd make them weaker. I dunno.

No by Bethesda logic being completely charred increases your energy resistance and base hit points.
