Official Nuka World Trailer Released

Ah yes, Bethesdas sense of humour... skeletons in *funny* poses and places, ghouls turned into stupid fakezombies and nukacola power armor...
All of this is cringeworthy, I mean great for Fallout 4 fans!

The music in the trailer made me want to drive burning hot stakes into both my ears.

We have what appears to be yet another reskinned Deathclaw this time made to look like an alligator or crocodile, a swarm of bees, giant grasshoppers?, what appears to be a chinese assault rifle, and walking nuka-cola machines.

Not impressed. The only reason I'd even buy it is for the Chinese Assault Rifle. Also isn't this the DLC that's supposed to give you the option to be a bad guy? Something that should have been in the base game?

Ugh, anyone else hate seeing the T-51b reduced to a glorified advertisement?

Ah, damnit, they did the mutated alligators. I was hoping to keep them for myself and my various Tactics 2 based campaigns.

Anyway, this looks mildly more varied than I thought it would be, but still not worth my money. A lot of reskinned enemies so far and maybe a couple of new ones, though I only presume so because the shots were too fast for me to properly check.

A couple of 'cool' moments, as per contract, though the trailer looked a lot more underwhelming that usual for Bethesda. Maybe they're losing their will to keep going after the delayed trainwreck that was Fallout 4.

The main selling point seems to be that the park has... games...?

I assume these to be automated (though I wouldn't put it past Bethesda to skip the explanation entirely) but being able to go to a shitty theme park in a game where fighting giants with a laser cannon is standard affair isn't exactly a wonderfully exciting experience.

Perhaps they'll be placeable in settlements, which would be a fantastic way to end this conga of worthless DLCs.

The raider mechanic looks just as flimsy as I thought it would do, if not even more so. We don't even see them do anything; they just run into Sanctuary and then they're guarding it.

Amazing raider action indeed.

TL;DR Bethesda finally gave up and I'm glad.

Eh...
In comparison to the base game, it doesn't look too bad.

I kinda hope it is just bat shit insane.

It honestly doesn't look as terrible as I thought it would; granted, I haven't played it yet, so it might be awful. But it looks like goofy shit. A nice variety of insect enemies. Novelty weapon. Rides and games that might not work too well, but we'll see. The whole thing will probably end up like Far Harbor: Alright. The big killer for me, is if the "so-called" factions just ends up being blah with so-so writing. You and me both have the pass, so we might as well dive in and see, right?

Will be far the best DLC but why the fuck didn't we have more of this !? 20 Wasteland workshops could't be as good as this.

The real question though is why could't they just have three DLC and keep the seasson pass at £24 ? Far harbour, Nuka World and one other decent DLC ?

I know there are bigger fish to fry, but why the fuck is there a vending machine robot? Why would any company make this? It is (a) more expensive than a normal vending machine (b) Did you see the way they walk? Unless you want all of the soda your customers are buying spilling all over the floor, which is another thing you will need to spend money on, that is incredibly wasteful (c) What the fuck is the use of this anyway? For the morbidly obese? That is such a specific problem to take care of that almost nobody would use it

So... this is what has become of Fallout.

This trailer in itself summarized the entirety of Fallout 4. Silly, ridiculous, absurd. Entirely lacking of any subtlety, only heavy handed juxtaposition. It's a meme in the shape of a game.

An example of one of the whacktacular new weapons that awaits you in Nuka World:

Truly tis a weapon to surpass metal gear.

I hope they never make another Fallout game. Every DLC was a bad joke, pre-war super heroes, settlement building addons, (basically microtransactions) a vault builder because fuck the lore and lastly an amusement park where you get to play games and go on rides. All of them jokes except for Far Harbor. Compared to Fallout 3 and New Vegas, all of the DLC took itself seriously with only a few exceptions. They're not even good jokes either, the dark humor is gone. What they find funny is the kind of humor you see in the gif above. Unbelievable, I'm done...
