And about implementing a car in the Gamebryo engine, it uses Havok physics, and numerous games like Red Faction guerrilla have cars with the same physics engine.

no cars in any bethesda-gamebreo games though, you have to remember that this game is still being weighed down by the same clumsy engine from oblivion

Yeah, but that's like saying that Street Fighter needs to have a button that allows you to skip the fights entirely, because you don't like the fighting gameplay. You're basically asking for a different sort of game. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it goes far beyond just asking for a change in the fast-travel system.
I'm not sure how true that is, it's not like they made any attempt to make exploration interesting. I mean, exploration is certainly something that they're (wrongfully) proud of in their games but what are the rewards for wandering? Compared to quests? Also, the Street Fighter example wasn't very good given that it's all the game had. Maybe a better comparison would be removing dialog from Fallout?

Just make a motorcycle and a car and use fuel for fast traveling..It's all i am asking man!

Instant Fast travel, auto heal etc this kind of fucking bullshit is killing games and we are becoming more lazy to do simplest shit like rest to heal or travel from world map with random encounters.

Remember we use to see a small animation when resting in baldur's gate??And time would pass and if you were happened to be in wilderness, random encounters (deadly ones if you were weak) would happen! And now what? Just stand still for a few seconds and you're done. All those bullets wounds arrows fucking dissappaer...

That's determined by Bethesda folks. If their programmers are lazy(or their version of the Gamebryo engine is a mess), they won't implement it.

That's what happens when you hire new kids straight out of the uni as your programmers. Believe me, you can't believe what horrible stuff you see from Uni coders compared to hobby coders. Even a good engine like the Gamebryo one can be turned into a monster.

If you think that exploration is/should be the only worthwhile thing about FO3, then maybe you're right, but I beg to differ. All I'm asking for is for them to accommodate various gameplay styles, something the FO series used to pride itself on. You COULD just gun everything down, or get through the game without any kills. You could run around the map looking for secrets, or rush straight through the main quest line. FO3 limits those options, and I don't think asking for it is asking for a different kind of game. It's not like I'm asking them to turn it into a racing simulator or anything.

And, as seen from my post, it doesn't take more than a small modification to the travel system. I'm only suggesting it because, as Garlic said, they never made an effort to make exploration worthwhile, and that's unlikely to happen in the future.

I think it really is a combination of a shitty engine to start with combined with poor programming when you consider how floaty fallout 3 felt even after people hated how floaty oblivion felt

SomeBritishDude: To make the car summonable, the devs would have to add some more options to it, making it a kind of party camp from Dragon Age; Your active (the ones you can use as henchman during playing) and passive (a mechanic, a trader, a kid etc) companions hanging out near it like a gypsy vagon. When you get to a new position, you can radio them (you did the cb and ham radio quests for that mechanic npc right?) and they will drive to the new location.

Of course all of this would be a big undertaking (gameplay and coding wise) so (I) don't really expect anything other than a motorised horse (read: dirtbike or chopper) if there is to be any vehicles in the game.

That would enable Beth to do some Bikearmor as DLC. In different colors perhaps? If its done well and is not too expensive, i'm sure it would sell about a million times.
