Project V13 Screenshots and more Concept Art

THE POWER ARMOR IS STUPID AND LOOKS SHIT!
WHY DOES IT HAVE LIGHTS INSIDE THE SHOULDER PADS?!?!? AWAWHAWHAW!ÖKLWDGÖSjdgöosjdgöojsd

Seriously.
I'm tired of all post-apocalyptic MMOs where everthing has neon lights of all colors in it. Weapons, cars, armor... WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAS TO CONTAIN NEON LIGHTS?!?!

Keep it rusty.

eeh chill out! :o

I think there is probably anyway no chance to see this travesty in action. Or does anyone really think Interplay will get what it needs for a MMO ?

wow. these look...uh...bad. not that i ever planned on playing this (do not care for mmo's) but i still have been hoping the little guy wins here.

Honestly, I prefer Fallout 3's look over this. But does anyone know if these are screenshots of the game's final look? It could just be to show the game mechanics and give an idea of what it would sort of be like.

yeah. let's be honest here...aside from their barely tweak-able textures, the one thing Bethesda really did well was environmental design. the stuff in these screens looks decades old and embarrassing. which is not surprising considering they've got no budget and are probably all huddled over a G3 in a single cubicle somewhere in Tijuana.

decades old? are you dumb? it looks maybe a few years old but decades? that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard you say.

I'd say they did a good job making everything look old. I didn't like the wooden buildings still standing there, or all the rocks, or the dead trees but if I put out of my head that those don't make sense, they at least look good.

These are ALPHA screen shots and I think they already look more "fallout" than F03. They only reason we're seeing them is because they had to produce them as court room evidence.

They still look closer to Fallout 3 style. I don't understand these screens looking "more Fallout" as everyone is saying they are. They are like Fallout 3 with a sprinkle of Borderlands.

Fuck it. Everyone says they hate it, but I like it.

I looked at the first few screens from the MMO, and I had just a tiny droplet of the FO 'vibe'. It's alpha, I think it'll definitely get a lot better, but it is a good start, and it definitely proves that Interplay isn't underwater yet.

On the concept art, the power armor is too rustic, almost "Bioshock" in geometry and lighting, but at least they got the size right (as someone mentioned).

I'd like to see the final product. (Shame on all of you who preferred Beth's FO3).

Some of you are complaining about "Snow City". I know it's not really Fallouty at all, but I'd like to see a Nuclear Winter take on Fallout. It'd be fresh.

The Super Mutant looks much more closer to the original style than what we saw in Fallout 3, that's for sure.

I'm going to reserve my judgments on these shots, because I do realize they're from an alpha version of the game, but seriously, they need more hi-resolution textures if they want the game to look good. Way too much blur on the landscape textures.

Given that it's an MMO, I just can't seem to get too excited about it.

If only Van Buren had been finished.

Somewhere out there in the multiverse, someone get's to watch Late Night with Bill Hicks, play Fallout 3 made by Black Isle Studios, and have pizza delivered by Todd Howard, the local pizza delivery guy.

One can dream, right? :)

I think you might get sued for dreaming about Fallout, since it's a breach of copyright agreement, if you do not have permission from Bethesda first.

The world looks like it was made from play-dough. Can't see how this might end up resembeling something good.

They're probably placeholder graphics. Alpha testing is inhouse, so if that's still in development the art department is probably still working and they're just using rough models to check quests and zones.

this thread does nothing but support the complete hypocrisy of all NMA-tards world-wide. not a single one of you would have anything good to say about these screens if these were what Bethie showed you years ago.

Bullshit and you fucking know it.

Its ironic that some of our first solid gameplay experiences with both Fallout 3 and V13 are images of Supermutants.

In the VATS preview from Fallout 3 the Supermutant looks like a big yellow Orc from Lord of the Rings.

In the Alpha preview of V13 the Super Mutant looks like a super mutant. Amazing thing that.

In other words, STFU, fanboi.

and if you can't admit that then you can't admit a goddamn thing at all.

jus' sayin'.

bunch of fucking hypocrites.
I am just silly.

Nothing I have seen about this post apoc MMO so far really leaves me excited about the game. Though not that I am really a fan of MMOS anyway to begin with. But still, the screenshots dont look even remotely to anything that could be described as a modern engine and even for a very early alpha there could be still more in it. Particularly from the visuals.
