Yeah. a lot of the writers From the show write for the comics. Including joss. Some of the actors write for it too. Off the top of my head Nicholas brendon wrote on a couple arcs for his old character. Same for Juliet landau. It still feels like the buffyverse albeit in a new format.

No I just read the walking dead and buffy religiously. Been meaning To get into some other books though. What's it about?

The man protagonists is a former preacher named Jesse with the voice of "God" which basically means he can make people do whatever he wants. His best friend is a immortal Scottish vampire named Cassidy, and Jesses ex girlfriend tulip. The three of them(four of them if you count the ghost of John Wayne who accompanies Jesse through his journey). Go on a road trip to literally find God.
