Freddie was a pretty great shaggy. And I agree that she was smoking hot daphne. Where the movies fail imo is the writing/directing. fun fact did you that James gunn(the guy who wrote/directed guardians of the galexy,and slither) also wrote for the second scooby doo movie. You can tell because there was some interesting concepts in the second one

Agreed he did a great job. Guardians of the galexy is easily one of the best superheroe movies in years. I really hope James gunn directs a real x men movie some day and kick out that fucking black leather obsessed hack Bryan singer out of the franchise for good. So the x men franchise can be what it was supposed to be.

... He's busy writing and directing guardians 2. And I like the cerebral tone of Bryan singer's x-men movies. And if he's responsible for putting elen page in tight leather then I'd rather he'd stick around

I have a long relationship with the x men franchise. I grew up reading the comics ,and watching the the x cartoon(rogue was so dam hot in that. shes probably the one that Kickstartered my puberty( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). So you can bet your ass off when the first x film was announced I was excited as hell. But after watching that movie.... I realized how naïve I was. You know how us fallout fans hate how Bethesda brutally raped the fallout franchise with fallout3?, that's basically how I feel as a x men fan. Everything In that was so drab and boring. Bryan singer turned one the most fun personality filled colorful and creative super hero teams ever into a bunch of dull boring black leather wearing shitheads, rogue was no longer a badass asskicker like she was in the comics/show in the movie she's just a fucking emo cry baby. Cyclops had a personality of a soggy brick,and Jean had the the personality of a even more soggier brick. The actions scenes were boring and uncreative. I felt the same way with 2,and 3( although I do love professor x and magneto their easily the best part of these movies). Honestly the only good x men movie is first class. the characters were likeable and interesting you got to know them on a more personal level. Magneto was a badass nazi hunter, and Kevin bacon was fucking amazing as shaw. First class actually brought some light and color into the x men franchise it had the spirt of a actual "x men"movie. For me first class was the "new Vegas" of the x men franchise. It gave me hope that the franchise that I once loved could be saved and what it was supposed to be. I even liked days of future past to a degree( mostly because the guy who wrote first class also wrote 70% of days). Sadly my hopes were destroyed when apocalypse came out. It had everything going for it, a x men film in the 80's? The possibilities of fun awesome Corny tongue in Cheek moments are fucking endless. But since singer directed it it turned to another shit show. You don't get to spend any time with the characters. Singers kills off almost every one from first class just because he didn't direct it, the villain was clichè and stupid. And everyone wore black fucking leather so singer could jerk of to his leather fetish. END OF RANT
 
Agreed about professor x and magneto being the best part of those movies. Well also wolverine of course. I just wish Fox would let him let lose and get gory like in the comics.

Marvel studios and netflix seem to be pretty comfortable with letting their comic book movies be comic book movies at least. And there have been worse things done to comic book properties than what singer's done to the x-men. Just look at amc's the walking dead. Or the classic example: batman and robin.
