the intent isn't for this to be a debate thread (but c'mon that's gonna happen once phipps comes in here and mentions fallout 3 or skyrim)

First off, Howard the Duck is the best marvel movie Don't @ me. no descriptions or anything for this one just trust me.

secondly one piece is just the absolute bees knees. the amount of setup, payoff, and colorful characters across nearly 1000 chapters at this point is overwhelming. the best part is there were only like two arcs that i didn't enjoy across the whole series. its absolutely perfect no matter what @Walpknut says. if you love dragon ball style shonen, extensive worldbuilding, and fun characters check this one out.

that's all i feel like typing for now.

If you wanna read a good manga that isn't for kids 7 years and up about fearless bandits of the Sea you should read Vinland Saga. It's about Vikings. It has fucking, fighting, drinkin' and all that shizz. The women in it also don't look like brooms with balloons taped to them, it has really good art and it has been compared favorably to both Berserk and the Song of Ice and Fire books. Highly reccomended if you want a good read.

Also Berserk. That one needs no introduction, just Put your Grasses on and Nothing will be wrong.

Secondly, I’m not sure what you want me to do, but I’m gonna take a gamble and put my favorite NOFX album out there: First Ditch Effort (2016). There’s not a song on that album I don’t like. Punk In Drublic (1994) is overrated. I’m not sorry for saying that, fellow punk rock fans can fight me over it if they want. Idgaf.

The Walking Dead used to be high on my list of favorite TV shows, but it's gotten so shitty that it's painful to watch. What TV show "kills" their main character and then keeps going with no plans to end the show in the near future?! I do NOT recommend this one. Save yourself from watching horrible writing play out on screen.

So much “yes” to LITERALLY all of this. If you’re looking for a medieval-style show after GoT ends, I recommend The Last Kingdom. It’s based on an amazing series of books called the Saxon Tales by Bernard Cornwell, and it’s just about the only good show on BBC America.

Difference from TWD is though, is that the GoT folks seemed to know to call it quits.

yeah about four seasons too late. still, to be fair, they were basically in an unwinnable situation because the next book was supposed to be out by the time season 4 ended (lol) and the show had too many child actors to go on hiatus. so the only option was to move forward without GRRM's writing as a blueprint. that's how we get scenes of

jon being trapped on a lake (instead of sending scouts to retrieve white walkers the king himself goes WTF?) so gendry runs 30 miles back to the wall and sends a raven halfway across the continent so dany can fly halfway across the continent all before they starve/freeze to death. or scenes of see? the white walkers are real because if found these drawings! he didn't find them alongside one of her men or anything like that. we just have scene where john says "i found these drawings that i totally didn't draw pls believe me!" also what was the night kings plan to get past the wall if he didn't have a dragon? its enchanted remember? kind fortunate that that totally impossible sequence of events happened so the knight king could just break the wall with his dragon that he pulled up with a massive chain that he got from... his ass?

also the night king was RIGHT FUCKING THERE!!! we know that killing one of the older walkers kills the other ones it made. and we know that fire is their weakness. they could've dragon spammed that man to death and we wouldn't need a season 8. how do you write something that dumb and not go "wow this is fucking dumb"?

i could go on but im sure you can see what i mean.

Yeah. with how great better call saul turned out (seriously no spoilers or anything but they way they show jimmy's transition from Jimmy mcgill to Saul Goodman is so flawlessly perfect and satisfying that it makes wanna rip my balls out of my gooch)

I love the star wars expanded universe and the amazing games. The Thrawn trilogy is fucking great and Mara Jade is one of my favorite star wars character. That trilogy just has so many things that I love and there are other great books in the EU, though the EU does has it's flaws. Too bad star wars is being beaten and raped by Disney.

well at least we're getting more of the clone wars. (i hold a small bit of hope that it will just continue forward and rewrite revenge of the sith completely because holy shit how awesome would that be?) BTW the clone wars is absolutely amazing and everyone should watch it (except for the first season, watch that last because its mostly trash except for that episode with Cad Bane)

seriously though the clone wars is worth watching just for what it does with darth maul who is now genuinely one of the best star wars characters alongside series originals ahsoka tano and cad bane.

also! it makes all of the prequel characters likable! seriously anakin is my favorite star wars character because of this show.

also while on the subject of star wars if we could just have Dave Filoni take over all of star wars from kathleen kennedy that'd be great...

I also want to know what Marvel was thinking when they handed the reigns over to Disney. I freaking adore Disney. Don't you judge me! But thanks to them, a lot of moments that are in comics will never make it to the screen. And I for one am getting tired of superhero movie after superhero movie. I enjoyed Venom though. I thought it was decent at least.
