What are the best things? (recommendations thread?)

What best sort of things do y’all recommend that don’t have to do with consuming online entertainment?
Get yourself together, man. Move to Philly. Buy a loft. Start a noise band. Get six or seven roommates. Eat hummus with them. Book some gigs. Paint. Smoke cloves. Listen to Animal Collective. Start some type of salsa company.

On a serious note, what are you asking for specifically? When I saw this, I figured people would recommend other arts and media that aren't games/Fallout. Learning a musical instrument is a good thing to do and is fun once you start understanding the basics if you ask me. Doing something art wise is always something I'd recommend if you aren't looking for recommendations on what art/entertainment to check out.

I really like the man in the high castle and Preacher. American gods too.
And right now I'm watching and enjoying Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I've always wanted to learn archery. I might take it up when the weather warms back up and my personal issues have somewhat quelled.

If you loved Game of Thromes, you will be blown away by the series of books. They are at least one hundred times better.

So HITMAN 2 might be my GOY. its absolutely orgasmic.

that said

Time was when you bought a game the game would be on the disc then you'd put it in the console and then you'd play it. now only the first 3 levels are on the disc and you've gotta download an update for the next 2 1/2 hours to access the last couple levels. also its always online and unlockables are tied to online progression. this game is stupidly fucking good. and you can tell its good because im willing to put up with this bullshit. still hopefully one day a version of these hitman seasons will be made available complete on disc, with none of this online only garbage... hopefully.

What direction did you think it would go in?

anal. just get your girl a strap on and let her peg you. thank me later.

Something more like your response. We already have a fav movie/tv show/book/game thread. Maybe they’re buried on page 2 or 3 but they’re there.
I was expecting responses that had to do with things outside of the living room.

I’ll start. I love a good shit. I love a good double pipe classic. I love a good hard days work. I love cumming. I love tO and it’s members.

@mobucks ok, I’ll go next.

I’m Arthur, and I’ve been an alcoholic for... shit force of habit.

*ahem* I love this forum, I like long walks and talking to people I care about, hearing about their day and such, I like going out for coffee and dinner on a first date that never turns into another because I haven’t found the right one yet who fucking loves me for the madman I am, I like a good pair of cowboy boots, chocolate Lucky Charms are the SHIT, and platonic cuddling that doesn’t descend into dry humping isn’t worth it imho.

well isn't a single thread that covers what four threads cover plus more inherently superior? its your one stop shop for good shit.

this post couldn't exist in another thread:
Does anybody remember Falling Down starring Micheal Douglas? if not go watch it because its great.

also Steam powered giraffe is a pretty good band.

also men are superior companions to women i would recommend you give it a go

see, that's three categories covered in a single post. can't do that in your precious "favorite movies" thread.

I like spilling quaffer on your sister’s titties.

One of the best things in life is having children, if you like kids and strive to be a good parent.

I cannot say the same about marriage. After being married for nearly ten years ( got married when I was 18), me and my husband are separating after New Years. It makes me feel like a decade of my life has been a lie, but I know it's for the best and things will eventually get better.

So my recommendation is to truly know a person before you jump into such commitments. It can change your life for the better or ruin it.

I’m glad you at least recognize that it was unhealthy, and I’m proud of you for making the hard call, but I’m still sorry about that.

It’s an unpopular opinion among punk rock fans, but I think Anti-Flag is the best Anarcho-Punk band.
Some examples, in no particular order:

I recommend listening to at least some of em; a lot of their songs have different sounds to them.

My favorite is 9/11 for Peace, but Confessions of an Economic Hitman is objectively the best. On Independence Day was my least favorite to play in my punk band I was a part of because I was bass and vocals, and keeping track of that songs baseline and lyrics is a fucking pain in the ass.

I can post more if you guys want.

i mean, i don't claim to know your situation, but any marriage that lasted ten years must've had something going for it. certainly couldn't have been a total lie if it lasted a literal third of your life. also next you should try women. things work out better if people stick to their own kind. your next marriage could last 20 years!

i don't know how to take things seriously its a real problem. i apologize if i've offended you.

Not at all. There are many factors that decided it, and one was past abuse. I left him before, forgave him and told him if he got counseling that we could try to make it work. But I just couldn't let go of that past. My counselor straight up told me that divorce was better than staying in this marriage. I tried. I really did.

And if anything, your sense of humor is welcome!

oof. i've had plenty of experience with domestic violence. not as a perpetrator mind you! but yeah even if its sparked by a legitimate argument there's no real tasteful way to come back from that.

good. i might not be the biggest fan but girls are cute and in a domestic dispute between women at least things would be evenly matched.

I could make an entire thread about my past issues, but this one is not for that. I just hope some people will consider my advice and be damn sure their life is in order and they can truly see themselves spending the rest of their life with a person before getting married.

Also, I recommend camping. Good to get away from the electronics for a bit.
