    Direction of New Vegas' DLC

This was my experience with 3. I am a completionist and was crossing all of the sidequests off my list when I suddenly stopped levelling. I had only just made it past Rivet City, too. So I rushed the rest of the game so I could see my ending and check out the rest of the locations. Imagine...

    Direction of New Vegas' DLC

Don't mind this, so long as the Skill Points granted per level is reduced by about 25% as well. :)

    Its a trap!

Fair point. I have no idea. I have never played an Elder Scrolls game. I'm just relying on the feedback from other people that Elder Scrolls was a good series.

    Its a trap!

I have to agree with you. I wrote my thoughts on the situation here: www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56702"] This was a brilliant move by Bethesda that accomplished many things with one decision: - Refocus on what they do best: Elder Scrolls. - Cash in one more time with the...

Anybody waiting for a patch before playing ?

Fortunately for me, I'm not being pestered too badly with glitches. (360 version). I'm kind of happy because there could be all kinds of wonky quest things I'm missing that will be patched in time for my 2nd play through. It will feel like a new game!

    Powder Ganger HQ (spoilers)

**SPOILER*** I raided the prison with the NCR, took it over and closed the quest. Yet the radio still says that it was a failed attempt to retake the prison by NCR troops. I felt that was bizarre. Did I miss something? Also, around the same time (within 30 minutes of real time) after...

enough skill points to make all rounder but not mediocre?

So in short. If you: - Min/Max your character at the start to take advantage of (*cough* exploit *cough*) the bonuses given. - Take the perks that are all connected to buffing said bonuses. - Spend hours searching high & wide for all of the books throughout the Mojave (or 'cheat' and use...

Things you *aren't* pleased to see

Well - thinking about it a bit more - and extending on your idea of how to represent the melee/gun bonuses onto the lad/mechanical outifts - it could simply mean you are 'readied' to do the work with small miscellaneous tools to assist you. Instead of designing and coding a small number of...

    After 25 Hours: Bravo Obsidian

Oh no doubt. I certainly shoehorned some of (a lot of!) the metaphor. And in no way was I saying that this was a definitive reason for the story the way it is. But like I said:

    After 25 Hours: Bravo Obsidian

Thanks. :P I knew I was opening myself up for 'you crazy muthafucka' comments, but thought it would be a fun way to communicate my satisfaction with the game while recognizing the hurdles that were overcome to create it. As did I. At least... certain elements of it. However, I am also a...

    After 25 Hours: Bravo Obsidian

I'm trying to crystallize my opinions as I play. I am 25~ hours in and have JUST made it to Benny/House/Yes Man. Now the game has literally exploded into a crazy number of locations I have to visit, which - if the build up to this point is any indication - are each going to have their own...

Things you *aren't* pleased to see

Glad it helped! It works to a point. I sill can't justify a +10 to Science for wearing a labcoat or the +2 to Guns for wearing clothes. I just go with it and don't let it ruin the experience. :)

Fallout: New Vegas Reviews Roundup #4

You are (much) further along than I am so I am simply offering something to consider. Is it not fair to look back at FO1 and see that the first few hours are similarly linear? I can't think of many people in their first run who wouldn't have 'Kill Rats - Go to Shady Sands - Kill Radscorpions -...

    @ Hardcore Fallout 1&2 Fan

Nothing wrong with finding reasons to justify evil actions. If that is what helps you break out of being 'you' when playing an RPG, then go with it. When I was playing the originals and decided to be a 'bad guy' I simply sketched a quick reason in my mind as to why I would have been chosen -...

YOU have the means to clean irradiated water. Right now. This minute. Using little more than what you would find in yours or your neigbours garden.

Nicely done. My take would have been on a purely 'tribal level' like you mentioned. Your concepts are much better as they would allow the player to gradually understand the history of the Legion in a very gradual & understandable fashion.

Fallout: New Vegas Canard PC first impressions

No disagreement. To clarify my point it was simply that - of the reviews I've read (all 6 of them) - they write with enthusiasm about the game. Expound upon the quest/story design and - bugs aside - have next to nothing negative mentioned throughout and then hit it with a score that suggests...
