10 best games.

Toront you need to put your big boy pants on and give System Shock 2 another try.

I played the first as a kid and loved it, but I missed System Shock 2, so I don't have the nostalgia to keep me interested. I plan on giving it another go, maybe after I beat Deus Ex for the first time.

In no particular order

1. Half life 1 and Half life 2 (I consider half life 2 and its episodes the same game)
2. Alien Isolation
3. STALKER Shadow Of Chernobyl
4. Fallout 1-2
5. Wasteland 2
6. System Shock 2
7. Metro 2033 Redux
8. Aliens Vs Predator 2
9. Fallout 3
10. NEO Scavenger

Cheater List

1. Planescape: Torment
2. Fallout 1-2 & New Vegas
3. Half-Life 1-2 & Counter-Strike
4. Mass Effect 1-2-3
5. Gran Turismo 4-5-6
6. Bioshock 1-2 & Infinite
7. Pillars of Eternity
8. Morrowind-Oblivion-Skyrim
9. Descent 1-2
10. Warcraft 3 - DotA

Looking at some previous similar lists to mine, it looks like i need to give the Deus Ex and System Shock series a try.

Game On.

I'm not overly fussed about a ranked list, but my favourites, both console and PC, are... (more than 10 fight me)

-Ratchet & Clank 2
-Fallout 2 + NV
-Half Life
-Portal
-Thief 2
-Jak 2
-Alien: Isolation
-Shadow of The Colossus
-Bioshock
-Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
-Gone Home
-Limbo
-Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I'm also VERY fond of Project Zero and System Shock 2, and normally include them as favourites, but due to life getting in the way I haven't finished either of them. Fond of 'games' like The Stanley Parable, Yume Nikki and Rust And Blood, too.

1. Planescape Torment (haven't played it yet... but from what I know it fits my kind of game perfectly)
2. Fallout 2
3. Fallout 1
4. Fallout New Vegas
5. Knights of the Old Republic
6. Morrowind
7. Mount and Blade Warband
8. Total War Medieval 1
9. Europa Universalis IV
10. Civilization 5

On random order:
Dragon Age: Origins
KotOR
The MGS series
Bloodborne
Fallout 2
Resident Evil 2
The XCOM series
Torment
Catherine
Mass Effect 2

- The Thief series (naturally, Thiaf excluded)
- The Hitman series (naturally, Abomination excluded)
- The Deus Ex series
- The Fallout series (naturally, 3 excluded)
- Victoria 2
- Crusader Kings 2
- Desperados: Wanted Dead Or Alive (and similar games)
- The Witcher (the first one)
- Mount & Blade Warband
- The STALKER series

Never could do "top ten" lists so I guess I just love all these games the same.

1. Fallout: Brotherhood of steel
2. Far Cry 1
3. Postal 3
4. Custer's Revenge
5. Daikatana
6. Lula 3D
7. Call of Duty 6
8. Fallout 3
9. Deus Ex: Invisible War
10. Duke Nukem Forever

Come on, you don't really believe that Invisible War deserves such bad company, do you?

I mean, other than the main character unfit to shine JC Denton's shoes, universal ammo, and the lack of a proper inventory, there really isn't that much wrong with the game. Loading times were an issue back then, but aren't so long on modern computers.

1. Metal Gear Solid Series (Anyone who doesn't think Metal Gear Solid 1 wasn't the greatest game of all time can kiss my ass)
2. Fallout Series (unlike others here Fallout isn't on or near the bottom of my list. In order, left is best: 1, 2, NV, 3)
3. Civilization Series (In Order, left is best: 2, 4, 5, 3, 1. Civilization II was my very first computer game)
4. Final fantasy 4 - 7, & 10
5. Metal Gear 1 & 2: Solid Snake for the MSX (Metal Gear 1 for the NES and Metal Gear: Snakes Revenge are pieces of shit)
6. Total War series (Some of you might not agree with this, but whatever. I grew up with the original Shogun: Total War)

And that's all I can think of that deserve a best games list.

-Fallout 3
-DRIVER
-GTA Vice City
-GTA III
-Rainbow Six Vegas 2
-Star Wars Battlefront
-Battlefield Bad Company 2
-Red Dead Redemption
-Metro 2033
-Battlefield 3

-GTA IV Best dialog and deepest story I've ever seen in a video game, period.
-Fallout New Vegas It's just the best
-Zelda OoT/MM Had to cheat, choosing between these two is impossible
-Oblivion/Morrowind Flawed gems that got me into roleplaying games
-Fallout 1 and Fallout 2
-Metal Gear Solid 3
-Assassin's Creed 2
-Dragon Age: Origins
-Half-life 2
-Batman Arkham City

That's all I've got, honorable mention goes to planescape torment though, I haven't played it yet but I'm aware of it's reputation and I'm a huge fan of Chris Avellone's work so that's on my to-do list.
Another mention goes to Metroid Prime, love that game but still haven't beaten it yet.

1. Baldur's Gate I&II - best RPG ever created, with unmatched story and gameplay. I'm playing this at least twice a year.
2. KoTOR - magnificent piece of game and one of the best plot twists.
3. Diablo - lost most of my early teenage years over this, and do not regret a single second of it. Still the only multi game that I ever got into.
4. Starcraft - best story in RTS I have ever seen. Too bad, that Blizzard decided to take huge steaming dump on it since Wings of Liberty
5. Gothic I&II - marvelous. Love them and know every bit of it
6. Fallout 1&2 - in the realm of postapo, best shit ever. I wish a game lake this made from Metro 2033
7. Jade Empire - many do not know about it's existence, but I recommend it to everyone
8. Fable - really pleasant game, that I love to play from time to time
9. Disciples II - best turn based strategy. HoMM3 isn't even near it.
10. Zeus: Master of Olympus - nothing more relaxing (I have quite stressful job ;p) for me than to build some cities and go to sleep.

I'm not entirely sure, that these are the best games I have ever played. Maybe I do not remember them at the moment. Nevertheless they are all awesome, and I plan to play them till the end of my life ;]
Honorable mentions: F:NV, Settlers II, Atlantis, Etherlords, Broken Sword II, Mass Effect, Prototype, Morrowind, Sacred.
Yeah, and Torment is boring IMO. Never got into it.

  1. Homeworld (Franchise)
  2. STALKER (Franchise, although Clear Sky was a bit crap)
  3. Starcraft/Brood war
  4. Diablo 2
  5. Crusader Kings 2
  6. Mount & Blade (Franchise)
  7. Morrowind
  8. Fallout and New Vegas tie for 8th place if New Vegas has mods. I actually didn't like FO2 very much.
  9. Warcraft 3
  10. Dawn Of War 1 (Dark Crusade primarily)

Honourable mentions: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Sid Meier's Civilisation III, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn Of War 2's campaign, Half-Life (Franchise), XCOM Enemy Unknown, Knights Of The Old Republic, Victoria 2, Arma 3, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, System Shock 2, Titan Quest, Sword Of The Stars, X3, Starsector, Space Pirates And Zombies, and probably a buttload more games the memory of which is eluding me right now

I'm not good at creating full lists but I'll try:

Syndicate
StarCraft + Brood War
Warcraft 3
Bioshock
Fallout 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Civilization 2
Super Mario RPG
Knights of the Old Republic

I could basically swap a bunch of these for a bunch of others but that is what comes to mind for now.
