The interface in Fallout 1 had a yellowy-brown colour to it and you may be confusing the current one with that.

No i'm not, i don't even have Fallout 1 :)

I do have both RP 1.2 and RP 2.0 installed (on different folders obviously), and with RP 1.2 the interface looks like this :

(Note : not an actual screenshot, i just googled it, but i can assure you this is what it looks like here)

I'm not using any mods (other than RP) in either case, however i installed 2.0 using the US version of Fallout 2 while i used to have the European version. Could it be that the skin in European version is the one from Fallout 1 ?

Okay, I will simply delete the map for me... But it looks too much like it's intended to be there.
I think there must be an error with the script relating to this door. I thought the computer panel would open it…I’m sure Killap will fix it ASAP after his short break. If you have access to and understand the mapper, just load the map and push “u” to open the door and save the map. It should be fine after that. I personally thought it was cool to rebuild the vault door, but something this obvious should have been picked up in the debugging stage. I can’t fix any of the maps because I don’t access to RP 2.0 yet. (3 days left)

I'd just like to point out an error, not so much of an bug but a "that doesn't seem right" error. About the Vault 15 door, where in the wasteland did the raiders find a huge blast door?! They may have used the one lying on the floor but that is missing several pieces and the door currently in use in all there. Could someone please tell me where they would find such a door or the pieces required to fix the current one.
They had 80 years to mend it…they’re a determined bunch of no-gooders, and by the way where did the mountain at their entrance come from…wasn’t there 80 years ago (act of God).

i found i MAJOR bug (sorry if it has been already submitted). when i visit EPA for the first time, the map is a completely black field, with nothing in it. i can still see my characters, move around the field and save the game, but if i try to load it, i get "error opening save file". i tried several times, and all the times its the same. i have Marcus, Myron and Vic in my team. im not sure where i got EPA location from, but perhaps in was from Myron, after i told him to "stay here and wait for me".

Extreme help needed! I've installed and re-installed both the restoration mod, and Fallout 2 itsel (humongous), they're both in another place besides Program files, and every time I try to save the game, I get an error that says it is impossible to save. I have Windows XP if it helps. Thanks, and I would appreciate the help!

Never had those problems on XP. In what folder did you install Fallout? Tried just simple C:\Fallout\ ?

I can tell which content belongs to RP just by looking at punctuation. Use of "--" without spaces on either side, missing dots and other things plague new quests, at least at The Den.

The em dash, —, represented in Fallout by a double hyphen, --, generally is not flanked by spaces in modern American English. Over in England, however, the spaces are preferred. Just like how they like to say "amour" and "grey", while we 'merican's say "armor" and "gray". Since I'm an American writer, I use the em dash without spaces.

Now, if you're accusing me of overusing the em dash, then that would be a valid criticism. :)

As for "missing dots", I have no idea what you mean by that. I just re-read over all the Den dialogue I wrote for Killap, and I didn't notice any missing punctuation.

Brain matter is leaking from my ears due to the awesomeness of this.

Think I found a bug, so I'm in the vault in vault city and the doctor is in his room, with the supply guard blocking his door and never moving, or going to the 3rd floor. the girl isn't even there

it wasn't always like this, I don't know when it got like this, it just happened. now I can't talk to the doctor(wouldn't really care, but when I could talk to him I didn't have 75 doctor, but I do now  )

edit:so sorry I'll put it there XD

edit2: ok put it there, glad I looked up and saw that post so I wouldn't look like a complete idiot, I'll skip posting here entirely and get it right first next time XD

hmm, I guess this post is considered off topic. well, I'll give feedback again XD

really haven't done much of the RP stuff, thought I did see a few new decors, like pixote's avatar, and the screen in vault city with here spatting moral code and such, I lol'd at the description. I've now done all the primitive tribe, and quite a few dialogue options were just great, loved the ones with the guy at the well "your right f*cking next to it, can't you see for yourself?" and then you finally just give up, sigh, and point at the well with your head hung low. I did the den residential area as well, but I don't think that was too greatly changed, if at all. Oh and I finally encountered kaga(I had missed him or something, I didn't see him until I was going back to the den to get the car, I'm curious how his random encounters work

I had cassidy and sulik with me, and we were all decked in some nice armor and weaponry, so good that in this first encounter, I nearly took him out while he was unconscious, but he legged off. I hated the last kaga, the painful idea of sitting there and reading the dialogue as it gradually went(it would've been better in the dialogue box, so faster, or slower, readers could make there own pace -.-) this kaga however doesn't care about telling you jack and just wants to kick your a*s! he makes it clear he hates arroyo and you, but he fails to give any reason why, maybe he will say more as I meet him more

dravean, once again great work(glad I have a name to give to the script writer  )

edit:oh how embarassing, I just left the vault and went to another part of town, waited a few days, and everything is back to normal

I'm not a good bug finder, or poster ^^

He's now a chance random encounter (albeit a high chance), so you're not guaranteed to encounter him. Actually, I think the chance of encountering him might currently be a tad too high.

In order to bring him more in line with what I believe the original intent for Kaga was, I wanted to make him a man of action, not words (plus I hated always waiting through all his float dialogue in RP 1.2). If you're looking for background information on him, you'd be better off speaking to members of your tribe.

Thank you sir.

believe me I like this kaga much better, love how he has fellow bandits with him, and the removal of that painful floating dialogue is enough to give him an A, and I'm tempted to make a trip to arroyo just to see what they think of him, maybe I'll just save and run to arroyo, check it out and reload. I mean, that's 1/2 the greatness of fallout, the dialogue! black comedy is what made me love this game

more feedback  made a suicide bombing for ncr to get the luck bonus and scout for stark, ran into kaga again, this time a lot more heavily armed, his fellows having burst guns(scary stuff) expecting to get blown to pieces, since I started surrounded by machine guns, I do fine, until good ol' bone nose thought it was a great Idea to spray me point blank with his submachine gun. Probably would've died anyways, kaga was one tough dude, he was dealing some serious damage with his rifle. I'll have to stop by broken hills first instead to possibly get a few better things, like a combat shotgun for cassidy so he doesn't have to waste a few turns backing up with his scoped hunting rifle. Doesn't help I'm trying to avoid putting skill points in small guns and am aiming for energy weapons, I really want to experience getting it from salvatore as my first energy weapon, instead of picking it up off some robber, so I tagged energy weapons for once.

oh right feedback, gee kinda rambled off track there XD. Well, once again enjoyed fighting kaga, he sure showed me for thinking I could just waltz from one side of the map to the other and live.

and you are the kind sir, you fallout patriot you

edit:I got a few questions..

does outdoorsman effect where you start in the kaga encounter? or are you always surronded by his thugs?

found a pack of smokes, and happened to have a light(for that one quest in the abbey, I assume it's still there, then again I went to primitive tribes with 5 spears and 5 knives and left with both annoyance and happiness(good change, but I was prepared for that quest). First off, AWESOME!! it's got an animation and everything, that's so cool! I was actually stopping just to see the animation for a while, then I ran out of smokes :O meaning there's a limited amount of smokes, so I have to ask, is there some place that restocks packs of smokes?

one more, in broken hills, liz's shop, has her basement been removed? I do not see it, but it's been a while...under the rug perhaps?

Actually, making a trip back to Arroyo might not prove too useful. I just checked, and it seems the dialogue option to learn about Kaga is only available before you leave the village for the first time.

I'll have to write something up and send it along to Killap to address that.

shoot beat my edit, always makes me feel like I'm posting too much when that happens

well that's a shame, glad I mentioned that though and didn't go so far for nothing, I'm sure hakunin would go all Indian-philosophical on me, in a very pissy way, if I went there to ask about some thug

Sorry, I have no idea.

I'm sure if you look around, you'll eventually find some more.

No, I don't believe it's been moved.

UnoriginalPizza said:

Actually, I spoke too soon. It is indeed still possible to ask about Kaga after you leave the village for the first time (as long as you've gotten at least one Kaga encounter).

That's not true according to my experience. In my game I:
-did Arroyo quests
-talked to bridgekeeper about Kaga
-left for Klamath, did Klamath quests
-returned to Arroyo, talked to villagers about Kaga

No Kaga encounters in the meantime.

That's because I didn't refresh the page, but I had no Kaga encounters, so there still is something off ;)

The Kaga encounters now are great. It's really cool to see the same person and "his team" evolving over time.
