Oh yeah, had to make this:
Hahah, that's awesome.

Also, note that the guy on Anandtech who claimed to have gotten the game and on whom most of you called bullshit, actually did have it. The main menu from his photo was exactly the same as in the leaked footage now.
Yeah. To be fair, he had no new information so it's not like it mattered.

or maybe Blizzard.
but thats unlikely because Blizzard is known to follow its origional games till now...
Blizzard doesn't have any experience with RPGs so I'd be hesitant but not dismissive. Still, wouldn't make the number one choice on my list.

So I'm watching the opening videos right now. Has it been confirmed that we have to sit through this shit everytime one starts a new game?
You can change all your stats while leaving the Vault, so you can always load the save from the end of the tutorial when starting a new game.
They've said before that there are some karma effecting options in the vault so that's a bit annoying, granted it sounds like karma can be easily manipulated so it doesn't matter. Regardless, it's bad design to force players to go through a tutorial on every playthrough.

Well, the Vault in FO3 is more than just a tutorial, though. At least from Dad's escape on, it does have some story development. But they could make it possible to skip to that instead of to the actual Vault exit.
Agreed. It's really too bad that they didn't seperate the two out from eachother, there really isn't any reason not to and it's good design to do so.
The quest compass works identically to how it did in Oblivion.
The "You're SPECIAL" book is a click fest and makes choosing stats more annoying than a simple menu.
Really don't like them including a bible passage, seems entirely unnecessary though I'm sure it's going to come up later.
Voice acting is above average at it's best and terrible at it's worst, mostly being at the sub-par level.
Stupid acchievements for stuff that you can't miss like turning ten.
The first time I saw NPCs moving amongst eachother I saw them bumping into one another (which pushes them). I think that this is fairly normal but it's still a problem.
The RAI convos talking over the scripted ones is obnoxious.
Really don't like the whole childhood thing, it's decently done but it's just not something I'm interested in in a game at all. Add to it that it's a forced tutorial and it just makes things worse though I will say that the tutorial was well integrated plotwise.
The robotic voice talking about the vault reminds me a lot of the Half-Life train.
OTS looks like it's terrible and he seemed to have trouble with the controls (though he doesn't seem like he's very good at the game in general). Actually the OTS looks kind of like Dirge of Cerebrus' before they made it more user friendly.
Butch's gang really pushed the PC around by just walking into him, not sure if they were supposed to be pushing him or if that's how collisions work.
Don't like the GOAT, reminds me of Fable's website with their little flash game (which was amusing), it's just too limited and generic. If I'm not mistaken, there were questions from the GOAT on the prepare for the future site.
During the goat, after he clicked a confirm on an option the sound glitched out (or that was supposed to be the projector acting up?).
The animations are terrible and the running animations still look like you're floating.
The rad roaches appear at way too convient of a time and it's pretty stupid, but that's a generic bad plot twist.
The flair before getting to the hacking minigame can be skipped, right? I thought it was in a previous video but I'm not sure so I thought I'd double check. Not a big deal either way.
The vault is pretty well done but the style is notably different from previous installations.
I guess they decided not to have the goons chase you to the exit of the vault? It's probably for the best but it seems like the door should be gaurded...
Still don't like the doored transitions from interior to exterior.
All in all, about what I expected thus far, still need to see more of some things to see if I'm right (level scaling and VATS in particular) but it's not worth purchasing.
