Fallout: The Frontier - Released!

This is a side quest that was originally meant to be in the game but was scrapped because apparently it wasn't up to the devs standards. Not many people know about it, but it really is a great side quest (writing and quest design is on par with New Vegas) and was the original reason I was excited for the Frontier. I highly recommend checking it out, it gives you an idea of what this mod could have been.

All this drama. Dev team has terrible PR. Even without the scandals they couldn't handle criticism. Mod is 90% garbage, I played 70 hours and can only think of a few quests that were worth playing. Now that some of the modders left the team, they're being honest that the mod has almost no direction and a broken tone.

Well shit this is sad.

Wait the minute, isn't Brooks/Traveling Merchant voiced by Gianni Matragrano?
Edit: It is him.

Such a mess.

But at least we can have some fun with the future Internet Historian video about this.

IH will have a field day with this one.

Have you all seen the interview?

I can't tell which is worse. The depressed developer slowly accepting that he wasted years on a shit mod, or the annoying Nazis in the chat whose biggest problem is that they can't be the enclave, and who are on about the JQ and Israel shit. Either way its a cringefest for both sides, so its really a must watch.

I'm personally grabbing some popcorn and enjoying the view.

So that wasn't up to their standards but the NCR call of duty rip off campaign was and the snake people and deathclaw sex scenes were too? Man these devs have a really subjective take on art and writing huh?

A perfect shitstorm, with all the necessary ingredients. Don't forget the "good old rub" the devs gave in form of poking and taunting 4chan's /v/ board, don't know if it was done directly or through their lackeys.

The devs think Mothership Zeta is great, so that tells you their standards when it comes to writing. It seems anything that had nuance or depth was probably thrown out the window to be replaced with stuff that was shallow and incredibly simplistic.

They used Frontier to fulfill their fantasies... DEEP, DARK fantasies.

why is it every female companion in a new vegas mod besides Eliza and Charlie always gets fetishized and is pure waifu bait?

there isnt enough food to get fat.

Delilah is cool. She's related to Sulik and want your help to be a doctor. She can even cure the troopers in Forlorn Hope and the boomers in their infirmary.

No romance and no creepy thing under the sheets.

Shit, I hated Zeta even when I was a dumb kid who didn't know any better.

Autumn Leaves, bar none. Do yourself a favor and play it. I don't know what people see in Beyond Boulder Dome, it just shoehorns known factions in a convoluted, edgy linear mess of a story that the writer didn't know where he wanted it to go, very much like Frontier but less cringy and without fetishes.
Never played Autumn Leaves - I was under the impression it was one of those god-awful note mods.

You might be right as regards Boulder Dome, can't remember most of it. But I enjoyed it at the time

So is there a single good DLC-sized NV mod other than Beyond Boulder Dome?

Does D.I.E.M.O.S count? I think that one was a lot of fun, though the beginning of it was kinda just clumsily tossed into the world and I think it would have made more since for it to be kinda in the middle of nowhere.

And as some people stated above Beyond The Boulder Dome wasn't particularly good but it had a lot of heart and actually used some of the lore from Van Buren which I don't think I've seen a single other mod author ever do.

Someguy Series

I did not care for some of the balancing stuff in New Vegas Bounties at all but his Russell companion mod is probably one of my favorite quest mods ever.

This is a companion mod made by the same developer that I mentioned earlier. Pretty good stuff. Haven't played through it myself but I've watched his playthrough and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the mod.

3DNPC/Kris Takahashi stuff for New Vegas.
I searched this in the nexus and nothing came up
