Fallout: The Frontier - Released!

I know it is small potatoes compared to all the other crap in the mod but why the fuck is Ceaser's Legion in Oregon fighting the NCR? like do the devs not know the layout of the US or something?
Funny story but according to the devs they choose Portland because "They thought it would be cool " and "We wanted the setting to take place in a city by a river." Yep! rule of cool with these dipshits!
All this drama. Dev team has terrible PR. Even without the scandals they couldn't handle criticism. Mod is 90% garbage, I played 70 hours and can only think of a few quests that were worth playing. Now that some of the modders left the team, they're being honest that the mod has almost no direction and a broken tone.
From what I hear the mod stop development for a few years and many of the devs that came up with the idea for the mod left (Probably saw which way the wind was blowing) and many of the developers had no clear vison for what the mod should be about. So they filled it with a mishap of ideas from other pop culture that they enjoy. It didn't help that many of the modders were fans of Fallout 3 and 4 and hated the OG Fallout's and New Vegas. As such they had no knowledge of the lore.

All the idiot developers had to do in order not to occur the wrath of 4chan was to say: "The Enclave were designed to be generic bad guys and we will not change that." or "By the time New Vegas takes place the Enclave are nonexistent and only exist in remnants who are still hunted by both the NCR and Brotherhood. It wouldn't make sense lore wise to include them as a serious faction."
But no! Instead they wanted to make their little statement, preach from their soapbox and make digs at those evil orange man supporters. They have nobody but to blame for themselves for becoming 4chans punching bag of the week.

If the America slave dialogue was meant to be a trap for players who click on skill checks without reading them, then why are there lines like this?

My personal list of recommended quest mods would be: Someguy Series, Afterschool Special, New Bison Steve Hotel & Casino, Debt Collector, Repconn Blues, Autumn Leaves and the very overlooked 3DNPC/Kris Takahashi stuff for New Vegas.

Oh no LMAO i know what mods you're talking about and thats not the case. There's a lot of notes in Autumn Leaves but it's very much full of well-thought out quests and great voice acting. The way you begin to play it also integrates so seamlessly into the game you could very well treat it as an official DLC, a status that very few mods can attain

Up until New Vegas Bounties III, or the end of it. Well...eh. The whole of it was sorta barren. The area is sparse as shit. The ending is weirdly jank, and the final boss is nintendo fucking hard cause 'he has a pipboy' bullshit.

They used Frontier to fulfill their fantasies... DEEP, DARK fantasies.
You know, Frontier would be a lot better if filled with gachi jokes instead of that shit it's known for now. The military aesthetics and the hot clash of NCR and Legion jabroni rejects in a frozen wasteland of Portland of all places - this just cums together naturally.

A lot of balancing in the New Vegas Bounty mods is pretty fucked up, so many enemies are turned into bullet sponges or given insane damage.

To be fair, it's as good a reason as any. I was never really a fan of using all the landmarks and real world names in Fallout, I liked how in Fallout 1 you could very rarely tell what the old world location was because, well, the old world was dead and gone.

I only noticed it for the last boss. Everyone felt alright, though I had a "realistic damage" mod and a winchester city killer for most of it. Even got fucked up by the gang down by the canyon once. Felt pretty even, until the last.

i killed marco with the survivalist rifle in new vegas bounties iii. of course i was playing on normal and it was only my second attempt. lol.

Am I the only one that thinks drawing underage My Little Ponies isn’t a big deal at all? Like who gives a fuck, he’s just a weirdo, it’s not like he’s harming children or anything. This whole fiasco is entertaining but it really has nothing to do with how bad The Frontier is.
