What are the best things? (recommendations thread?)

For books, Wheel of Time and Dune are my absolute favorites. Tabletop RPG's are also the shit, and GURPS is my personal favorite (I still wish Fallout used it instead of S.P.E.C.I.A.L.).
 
Love Dune. Although I have to say, after God Emperor of Dune the books kinda fall apart.
 
never read or watched Dune before but Denis Villeneuve is reportedly making a two part movie of it so... dune fans should be hyped.
 
I certainly am. Basically, my pants has wormsigns the likes of which not even God has ever seen.
 
I remember reading dune for 60 pages and getting bored. It was just a huge info dump after info dump. I eventually put it down. Maybe I should pick it up again one day.
 
Also another cool thing that everyone should try is lucid dreaming. It isn't some sorta superpower like some ultra-spiritual people would have you believe. Anyone can do it with a bit of practice, and it kicks ass.
 
I used to be able to do it quite often as a teenager, but I kinda lost the ability mostly. Still works sometimes, but it's not as cool as it used to be. Can't really fly anymore.
 
I bought Dune 1-3 and the 5th one I think? Still need to check it out honestly.

I try to not remember dreams since 8th and 10th grade. I still find them very interesting.

Although... What's weird was me holding a kangaroo but never hold a wombat... which is my favorite animal... :aiee:

It would be rather awesome to look out my window and see one just bouncing by. And wombats are adorable.

I'd fight you for that, NOFX has not made a good album since So long and thanks for all the shoes. White Trash, 2 heebs, and a bean was the best!
