What are the best things? (recommendations thread?)

Your a libertarian who sides with the legion, I am not all that concerned as you seem to be mostly confused anyway hahaha. My strong chin and beard will beat your only strong chin any day hahaha.
Suppose you’re right, but now it’s my honor we’re talking about lol

Music is good. I like pop punk, it’s a nice time. If you haven’t heard of Useless ID, I’d check them out. They’re an Israeli punk band and pretty good. Prettay, prettay good.

i already brought this movie up in the thread before but it was mostly as an example.

but this movie's actually pretty great. its about a man who just can't fucking take it anymore.

no fucking way a movie like this could get made today.

Damn, I remember watching that years ago. It was indeed a great movie.

In an effort to get this somewhat back on track... Anyone ever read the short story 'I have no mouth and I must scream'? Good stuff, that.

"I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" game is the only game based on book that is actually better than source material.

Mr Robot is the best drama about hacking.

SWAT 4 is the best tactical shooter.

No More Room in Hell is the best coop shooter game.

Return of the Obra Dinn is the best detective game.

Mr Robot is fantastic.
Only seen the first season, but I kinda loved it.

Episode 6 left me feeling things

I've never heard of Falling Down but now I kinda wanna check it out.

I've always meant to check out both. Now I wanna try the game even more so if it's better than its source material, didn't the writer of the story work on the game some?

He was a lead writer and voiced the main antagonist.

One of a kind experience.

Great! that's the whole point of the thread.

anyways i've finished Volume Two of Vinland Saga.

i've gotta say since Askeladd kinda took over as the MC its gotten even better. and with the introduction of the priest and thorkell the series has gained +5 charm.

Volume 3 arrives tomorrow, gonna order Volumes 4 and 5 tomorrow too.

anyways thanks for the Recommendation @Walpknut
i've been needing something to read on break.

can confirm Vinland Saga is pretty tits you guys.

Game of Thro- ok Graves I’m kidding lol.

Been reading Hué 1968 lately; best book on the Vietnam conflict that I’ve ever read. Also, really depressing.

EDIT: Appaloosa is a western novel that turns the genre on its fucking head; it’s gritty as all get-out, and mixes noir and western genres to great effect. Just be warned, it’s a brutal book; there’s a rape in the prologue, for example. But if you can swallow examples of the worst things human beings can do to one another, it’s an amazing novel.

So some more book recommendations; Blue Eyed Devil by Robert Parker is the third(?) in a series beginning with the novel I mentioned earlier, Appaloosa. In Blue Eyed Devil the two main characters of Appaloosa, silent badass Virgil Cole and West Point graduate Everett Hitch, take on a corrupt police chief with his eyes on politics as the West becomes a land of laws. Good shit.

I also said I wouldn’t mention history anymore, but if you want something medieval check out Dan Jones; he wrote The Plantagenets (my favorite book of all time), Wars of the Roses, Summer of Blood, Magna Carta, and The Templars. All medieval, all fucking fantastic reading, if you’re into that kinda thing.
